Who's getting in?










Each day I'll select 10 random characters from the Nintendo wiki (using https://nintendo.fandom.com/wiki/Special:Random ), and whichever gets the most votes gets a slot on B8's Smash Bros. roster
  • Special exception: If the random page lands me on a game that doesn't have a page for its characters, I'll just take the main character from that (or the closest thing I can find to a main character).
  • Special exception #2: Sometimes RNG wants something that's not a character to be in the poll, and if that happens, so be it.
  • Special condition #3: In the case of a tie, both characters will get in but the 2nd character will be an echo of the first.

Yesterday was a strong competition between unsurprising Final Fantasy favorite Cecil and less-expected contender Derek Stiles, but neither was able to break the small hold the country of Sweden held over them throughout the day.

Today on deck we have... holy shit, Batman and Spider-Man both in a single poll? Well, as if it matters, today we also have a legendary Pokemon (that probably would do better any other day if I had to guess), a not-so-legendary Pokemon, two Pikmin 2 items for some reason (did someone just add a ton of these to the wiki or something?), a Fire Emblemer boss, a ship that's basically just a triangle, a regular person, and a neat little threesome that's totally-not-a-ripoff of Streets of Rage/Double Dragon

For the record, Batman came up from the actual page for Batman (character) on the wiki, while Spider-Man came up for the game listed in the poll

Lugia would bring with it the grand return of Poke Floats!

As for the superhero battle, Spidey would be the more interesting fighter imo, but Batman would come with the cooler world around him. Hmm...
