Probably territorial or whatever. Whenever the bigger kitten sees the little one its straight beef.

Any ideas on how to not let one cat bully another? Theyve had to resort to separating them and sleeping with them in separate rooms. I feel sorry for the little cat

Proximity is going to have to happen. I'd periodically have them near each other, so they could see and smell but not close enough to touch. If they can't manage it unassisted, they could try placing the aggressor in a cage. Once they seem comfortable, start the supervised visits in the same room. Treats can also be helpful to create pleasant feelings from the encounters, just avoid praising bad behavior.

cats will usually stop that after awhile. if you thinks it's serious then keep an eye on them when they are together.

I read about a method for getting a cat and dog used to each other that might help. use a gate or something that they can't get over, and have their food on either side.

It depends on the cat. When they seem calm enough to be close without fighting, then it might be enough time... Some animals take longer than others. Where some warm up fast...

Just let them fight it out.

Let the alpha male recieve all the attention.

Doors could also be useful if nothing else is available. I spent some time looking around and, if you'd like something to reference with a little more depth, there's a good article here, although certainly not the only resource available.

Feed the younger cat first. Then older cat. He needs to know the human is in charge.

I've been dealing witha similar thing with our young dog acting in charge.

I had that issue once. After a while they started liking each other and everything was cool
