One of my friends borrowed my PC version of Final Fantasy VII, and "lost" disks 1 and 2. Never got them back.

Also got my original gameboy stolen on a class trip in middle school (I think it had Pac-In-Time in it). I didn't really care since I had gotten bored of it by that point. Turns out I got a Gameboy Pocket next Christmas anyways.

I let a kid at school borrow my N64 Gameshark, but he wasn't a friend and I was too nervous to ask for it back. Not sure if that counts as stealing or giving.

When I was a kid, someone broke into our house while we were on vacation. My snes and all my games were stolen. They got replaced thanks to insurance.

Well, I dont count it as theft, but I let a friend borrow Kings Quest 4 one time. You needed to put a word from the manual in to even get the game to load and my friend destroyed the manual. There were about two words I remembered and had to restart the game until one of those words were the answer.

I once had a gameshark stolen during one of my weeks I brought it to school to give other kids Mews on their Red/Blue cartridges. I never did find out who took it, but I suspect someone idiotic enough to wipe their game memory once or thrice.

My "friend" stole my Pokemon Shapphire game.
He also tried to steal some Pokemon cards from me but I caught that one.

I let this senior guy I was sorta friends with borrow Resident Evil 4 on gamecube. I kept asking for it back 2 months before school ended and he kept saying he forgot it and then he graduated and I never got it back and that one stings to this day because it was a gift :(

I never let people borrow games after that.

A bunch of dreamcast controllers, memory cards and "backups". This was a little over 5 years ago and in a nice neighborhood. I usually left my car unlocked at this person's place, but from then on, I got in the habit of always locking my car.
I'm still curious what the people who stole the items did with them. I almost think they thought they were 360 controllers or something. Dreamcast stuff was still cheap, too...
I was most annoyed about losing my saves.

My GBA and my copy of Pokmon Crystal were stolen from me in middle school. The kid ended up giving back the GBA (after a shit ton of bribery from the principal), but he claimed he didn't have my copy of Crystal. He probably sold it for weed money or some shit like that. That was the last time I ever brought video games to school.

Not me, but my friend got scammed out of some rare items he got on GaiaOnline (I don't remember most of the items, but one was the OMG Hat). He was a young dumb horny teenager and someone with a female avatar convinced him to send it so "she could try it on" in exchange for naughty photos, and she would send it back after. Well, you can guess how that turned out. No naughty photos, no getting the hat or other items back. He quit the site after that. To be fair, he was cheating and using a browser refresher to farm gold, so it was kinda a karmic situation.

Yes, someone stole my copy of OoT on the N64 (it was the version with red blood/different music for the fire temple). Someone else stole my SNES and my copy of Secret of Mana. And someone stole my copy of Tales of the Abyss for the PS2.

I'm still salty about all three. I love those games and I had to re-buy them all. No one is "borrowing" my shit ever again.

Too many to list them all there. Some Gameboy stuff stolen at school, a break in that was around 10 years ago in which I lost multiple systems and loads of games, and my fuckwit druggie brother and the 'friends' he kept inviting in when he thought we wouldn't see them stole plenty more.

With mum gone, at least he isn't a problem now.

I had used to have a whole bucket of Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo DS. I have no idea whatever happened to them. Also, I had an aqua blue Nintendo 3DS stolen which was recovered months later.

A few times. Somebody my brother didn't like broke in while we were gone and stole our SNES and games, but we got them back. A "friend" of the family robbed us once. And another time my brother had our PS1 games in a case when his car was stolen. (Took me a long ass time to find another copy of Mega Man Legends 1 & 2.)

Oh wait. I think I misunderstood the topic. One time when I was a kid our house gotten broken into and they stole four things: my GameCube, my friend's copy of Legend of Zelda Master Quest or whatever it was called (had Zelda I & II plus Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask) that I was borrowing at the time, my skateboard, and a $2 bill from my sister's nightstand.

Got my wife $60 of expansion packs for the Sims 2 about a decade ago off Ebay as a gift.
Said it was delivered, must have gone to the wrong cluster box.
No one ever brought the package to us (I've had half a dozen packages come to us that were wrong address and always did the right thing; guess that's expecting too much of other people, though)

Post Office gave me the run around for a month and just pissed me the fuck off, took two weeks and hours on hold only to be told to call back another time (repeatedly) before I could even talk to the carrier (which of course by then, didn't remember anything). Originally I just wanted to figure out who stole my fucking package and didn't blame the post office for the blunder, accidents happen. But damn was I infuriated w/ how they blew me off till I gave up.
