Here we go again with a fitness topic lol.

So I very recently got myself a personal trainer! I accidentally super-liked him in Tinder before I even got to see anything and so when I he matched me and I checked him out, I found he was a pt just looking for clients. Super weirdly coincidental that I was honestly considering looking into getting one. So chatted with him and he seemed cool and legit and so here I am. I've had two real sessions, not counting the consultation/getting maxes, and I'm loving it. I'm just so excited to finally be working towards bettering myself!

So I guess I'm gonna try to use this topic as a log or something.

Did my third session today, leg day number 2. It was easily the most draining one yet. Whew. He's a big fan of planking and just calisthenics in general, which is some exhausting shit lol. Oh well, tomorrow is upper body numero two-o. Gonna get ripped!

I got my second Moderna dose on Sunday and am hoping to return to the gym soon (haven't gone in since November when cases began to spike. During that time, my weight has been stable, but I could feel the muscle/fat ratio getting worse.

I'm considering taking a rest day instead of going today. I'm at the most sore that I've been so far, especially my arms and chest, and I've just felt kinda exhausted/fatigued at work all day and don't feel like it will make for a good gym session. And tonight is supposed be upper body >_<

I've been taking short jogs outside now and then. I don't usually feel up to any kind of exercise but when I am able to do some it's nice.

So I had another session the day after my last post, but my trainer had to cancel on me Thursday due to an emergency. It's now the 3rd day after he canceled and I haven't heard from him. :/ I'm starting to think he's ghosting me and I'm pretty depressed about it. I was gonna go by myself last night but I was too depressed. Sigh.

Trainer got back with me. There really was a emergency involving unplanned pregnancy gone wrong and he was just freaking out basically lol. Has my first session back with him last night. My abs are sore from crunches lol.

yay fitness topic

my back went through a wild ride injury wise the past few months and has lead to a horrifying drop in my deadlifts

for perspective, my current 1RMs at 171

flat bench 240 (still trash)
incline 225
OHP 190 (still a beast baby)
back squat 425
front squat 290
deadift 295

it just is a vicious cycle. I am so psychologically afraid of getting hurt again that it makes me not push myself at all and stop way sooner than I am capable of both on weight/reps/sets and so it just keeps dropping. Progressive deload if you will LOL
