Lmao yeah. Tainted Forgotten is pretty great too. Didnt have Birthright unlocked when I tried tho so I didnt even have full potential there.

Btw I noticed like half of the characters dont have descriptions for Birthright so does it like, not do anything for them? I cant imagine them actually failing to implement the item ability for half of the characters right?

The wiki says that they haven't been implemented yet but I agree that's weird. Maybe the dev is planning an update/release with super secret stuff so that it doesn't get datamined immediately but if that were the case I'm not sure why the wiki would know that.

Yeah honestly fuck Ed for nerfing invincibility frames. Its killed a few of my runs and has made The Lost a chore to play as well (Holy Mantle has the same nerf to i-frames)

I had an absolutely busted run with the Forgotten that I had to pause in the chest right now. Basically the bone attack is massive due to Polyphemus and some other items. Ill have to remember to take a screencap after work because man even Hush was kind of a joke.

I got to the secret boss with the lost and lost because my holy mantle instantly broke at the start!

I had a god run.

I got bird's eye which shoots fire tears based off luck, and there's a trinket that drops after 3 floors of no damage that gives +10 luck (Perfection), so non-stop fire tears.

It's honestly insane how Maggy can leverage an early sacrifice room into becoming OP as shit. Got Sacred Heart from the sac room and then Prayer Card from first item room. Couple that with Health Up being in the pills pool, and I could take as many Devil Deals as I wanted. Brim and Eye of the Occult were in the same Devil Room. GG. Hard mode didn't stand a chance.

The tainted characters are so odd in terms of balance. Half of them are OP, and half of them are MISERABLE to play as and obscenely difficulty

Seems to be how it goes, you get a few easy ones to help you learn the new content, and a few hard ones to make you suffer for 100%.

Its definitely possible to become broken as shit in Repentance still. Farmed The Stairway with Keeper from Sacrifice Room in The Basement, and it was just gg from there as the Angel Shops just made me more and more overpowered.

The beast seem relatively easy compared to other bosses... I think it's because it doesn't have 'armour' so you can just go ham on it

I've beaten the beast quite a few times now, I only have maybe 4 tainteds left to unlock... definitely feels more fragile than Mega Satan, although it could be because of his size so he might take more damage from lingering flame effects

Theres also the fact that he spawns a bunch of minibosses, and you cant constantly wail on him because of some of his attack patterns

I almost beat it but for some reason the game kept periodically giving me broken hearts (permanently destroys one heart container and it cant be replaced - tied to Magic Skin and VI - The Lovers?) until I died.

I had a run with that challenge where I had poison farts active item with 0 cooldown. It was kinda fun just spamming poison farts through every room but it didn't do much damage to bosses.

God I feel like Im gonna tear my hair out because Jacob and Esau are so frustrating to play. I unlocked Tainted Jacob and then immediately died to Dogma because I just couldnt maneuver.

Love the Antibirth devs for getting this amazing expansion rolling but fuck them for coming up with this character.

No, they can only be controlled as a pair (except when youre holding down CTRL to hold Esau in place).

Its maddening because I get very strong runs and then end up losing because bad damage just adds up over rooms.

It also goes without saying that I dont even try to spawn a planetarium with these guys.

that's strange since I can indeed control a single Jakeass with keyboard for one and joystick for the other

I didn't have much of a problem with jacob/esau. Just gotta sandwich them as close as possible at all times and stick all your damage/tears/etc on to one character instead of splitting things up. Have their card fully cleared already. The tainted version on the other hand...

I've been concentrating on finishing of the normal characters completions before doing much with the tainted versions, and I'm finally down to just the lost vs dogma/the beast, so that's nice! Just got done with the lost on the Corpse

I'm getting really annoyed with the game crashing all the time...

It's not even the game's fault, it's OpenGL being dumb. Whatever nvidia changed on March 10th started it and when I try to roll back my drivers I can only go back to that version.

I haven't been doing well lately, but I have the post-it's complete for I think... 5? of the tainted characters so far. Isaac, Maggie, Cain, Azazel, and Lilith are 100% complete. I think I'll do Apollyons next. I like finishing off each character 100% a lot better than swapping around

Tainted Keeper is the ultimate snowball... if you survive the Basement you're pretty much guaranteed to win

Tainted Lost is kinda supposed to be the ultra-hard mode, and tainted Jacob is entertaining once you get items that turn Esau into a valid weapon (or the Eraser... since you can actually erase Esau)

But ya, Tainted Lazarus makes little sense... Tainted Lazarus B does have a +50% attack mod so he has the potential to be very powerful though

Tainted greed is gewd, but it irritates me how you're still fragile. HOWEVER, I did just have a run that beat the beast and got that clear where I probably could have stood still and won <_<. Glitched crown and angel rooms into stairway to heaven and basically whatever item I wanted by the end. They need to make a bigger version of the item tracker that shows everything instead of cutting off the stuff theres no room for :o

If it goes on sale during the summer sale I might buy it. I'm not really gaming at all lately though. I own the original due to the first Humble Bundle.
