Everyone's panicking but it seems to be leveling off around 48 cents for now. Meaning it's still higher than it was a week ago

Same here. I bought it at around 6 cents so my initial investment was only like 600 dollars with about 10000 coins

Ive written off everything Ive invested in cryptos. Not touching them. I have a friend who had 5,000 Bitcoin for 7 years and one day said, This shit aint going anywhere and sold it. Then it blew up.

That will NOT be me.

For the most part, the other coins are looking fine. I think it possible some people switched some coins to DOGE, sold high, and put the profit back in their fav coins.

I did buy some MATIC earlier this week, nice to see that building stream back.

We were all talking in my chat about how doge was going to drop SNL night, PR usually tanks stocks because people expect the price to jump and it doesn't, causing a selloff

But yeah Doge is yesterday's pump and dump, Banano is where it's at. Also hoping Safemoon goes flying again soon, but I can't recommend anyone buy that at this peak. Still holding $1200, bought $50 initially a month ago lol. I want $20,000 at least. This volume is getting me some crazy staking gains.

Me and my friends have made hundreds just staking SFM/BNB.

Nice with the MATIC though.

when doge dropped to .50 my wifes response was to ask me if I thought she should buy more lol

I told her that I still think bitcoin is the best investment long term, I know only a little about crypto but I know theyve said they arent gonna make more Bitcoin so it seems like the value should only go up

Dogecoin will obviously never be nearly as much as bitcoin but I could see it eventually reaching 5 or 10 bucks

Also robinhood had a lot to do with the plummet being more extreme with their servers "coincidentally" being down so nobody could buy while all the whales were selling theirs off

I think ETH is a better long term than BTC at this point, but BTC isn't bad at all.

I'm starting to think in the future ETH becomes like Microsoft, and ADA becomes like Apple.

ETH

• We are open source, but you have to use our tools (similar to IE for microsoft)
• We have the biggest market share both in consumer and corporate levels
• Vitalik kind of reminds of Bill Gates TBH

ADA

• Came after ETH, and is was able to streamline and remove some bloat (Windows vs. iOS)
• Hip names for all their updates

It only climbed to what it did because of the hype leading us to his appearance though. What it fell to was still 10 cents higher than what it was before it started rapidly climbing. And now it's back up in the 50s

I don't think doge pump and dump days are over. I think the powers at be will at least pull a few more pump and dumps before the hype dies out. At least that's what I'm banking on. Either way, I bought in pretty low so I'm still up 4000+ even eith it being down to 45 cents

I just found out that if I get the position, I will need to get company approval to purchase more crypto (or stocks) to meet SEC regulations and prevent insider trading.

If only no one owned really crypto because if done properly it's not traceable back to you

Tldr;

Tesla is longer accepting BTC to pay for cars, citing environmental concerns regarding BTC mining.

Also, I heard MA is banning crypto mining for 3 months to conduct environmental research.

It's crazy that musk has that much power over the entire crypto market.

Also, governments around the world are scared of crypto. They're starting to crack down it while simultaneously planning to launch their own cryptos

eh, he can cause a dip. Cult of Personalities are becoming an issue for the economy as a whole, look how much Trump could influence with Twitter when he was in power.

China has the digital Yuan already I believe. One more step in overtaking the dollar while the USA drags it's feet on crypto.

I believe though that while Elon does in fact have influence on DOGE and BTC, the whole market when down because many coins are still tightly coupled to BTC in terms of price movement.

This is diminishing overtime (more so with bigger coins like ETH and ADA), but there is still quite a way to go.

Nice. I find those two tokens are among the easiest to stake too. For ADA I use Dadalus (sp?) MainNet. It's a full node wallet run by IOKO (one of the 3 main governing bodies of Cardano). Anything you need to do ADA wise can be done through there. It does require a PC though, and is not available on my mobile.

Staking is as easy as transferring your funds to the wallet and selecting a pool. Pools usually require some kind of deposit (mine was 2 ADA), and any changes in delegation will take place in 2 epochs. If it's your first time earning rewards through staking, it takes 3 epochs for awards to begin to appear in your wallet (you are back paid), then you receive awards every Epoch. Epochs on Cardano are ~5 days. All the stake pools are selected and moderated by IOKO, but if you know of one not listed, you can also add that.

VET I use VeChain Thor.

VET isn't quite staking. Think of the VET token as radioactive, and it emits VTHO by just sitting in your wallet. I believe keeping it in Binance will get you VTHO as well, it's just paid to you monthly based on wallet balance snapshots instead of accumulating daily like Thor. I would double check Binance will give you VTHO, as the two coin system is one of VeChains more appealing qualities

I need some ideas on cooling; I currently just use my gaming rig to mine and it makes my office pretty hot this time of year. Would it be reasonable to try and rig up exhaust to outside for the heat, similarly to what a stand up AC would use?

I would say that would be reasonable, as I imagine you have a nice rig. Maybe some kind of liquid cooling system, depending on which is cheaper?

Meme coins are down (most notably the Shiba trio) because the creators send %50 of their supply to Buterin, under the assumption he would hodl. "Burn to Buterin" is what they called it. He instead donated what he received to India Covid Relief, and told them to "Bark up another tree"

Edwards Snowden did come out last week, and say that BTC and it's engineers are not emphasizing privacy enough.

Elon also was very critical of BTC recently, with his concerns towards energy consumption and strong dependence on mining with fossil fuels.

I think this trifecta is led to a lot of FUD, but ADA and MATIC are up because they are very green coins, so money was probably moved from BTC to those two.
