Ghosts 'n' Goblins is the best arcade game to me, but I have a soft spot on account of it being my first ever game.

Have you played it recently it is a pretty bad game actually it is very simplistic and repetitive combined with the artificial difficulty of an arcade game makes for a pretty bad experience. Sure it is fun in the 5 minutes it takes to eat up your quarters at the arcade and for you to move on to the next machine but when I played it on xbla I realized it wasn't that great.
