My wife has gotten back into playing Fall Guys in the last few days. Haven't played this since season 1 so it's kind of wild seeing some of the new games and some of the twists they added to old games to make them harder.

13 Sentinels Prologue (Kurabe's, at least! Dunno if there will be others for other characters) complete!

I liked this slice of life segment. Also, I'm pretty sure Shiba's VA is the same as Jusis's/Lorenz's, but just at a noticeably higher pitch.

And now Fuyusaka's Prologue complete! That one was a lot simpler, but it's making it clear that all these characters are connected. I'm assuming they can all use Sentinels, but I've already seen Fuyusaka and Kurabe do it, so yeah.

AoT S4E15: I don't think it makes sense from Zeke's perspective to die because his entire plan hinges on being around as a Titan holder of royal blood for Eren. If he goes out like this, he deprives his own plan of a key component. It would leave Historia as the only qualified person remaining and require her to become a Titan. Heck, given that the Beast Titan would just go to someone at random if Zeke died right there I think it'd still be better for his plan to let Levi feed him to someone because then at least Eren's faction would know who the person is to get it back. ...OTOH it would seem kinda BS to survive this!

Yeah, it would be stupid for Zeke to keep surviving this crap after this episode has driven home the fact that he's not physically strong. Perhaps calling out to the previous Beast Titan was his way of trying to take down Levi and hoping he would somehow be protected. It would be stupid for that to happen because there's been no evidence of "supernatural" power like that beyond the Titans themselves.

I'm about 75% through Wheel of Time book 4 now. I've discovered that like how Mat's Taveren skill is a max luck stat, Perrin's is a max charm/intimidate stat. He'd make a fine Commander Shepard.

Yuzuki is the best character in the show. That was a nice heartwarming episode.

Hijiyama's Prologue in 13 Sentinels complete! Of course there's a time travel plot. I mean, I'm not complaining! I love time travel plots, but yeah, it's not surprising it's in a game like this.

Also, this Hijiyama guy clearly has the same VA as Gaius, but it's strange hearing him being angry and smoldering after hearing him be so mellow for four Cold Steel games...!

Minami's Prologue in 13 Sentinels complete! More time travel! I'm definitely interested to see how they gradually bring this all together since they're jumping all over the place.

Megumi's Prologue in 13 Sentinels complete! Now featuring a talking cat for some reason. Juro is the most interesting character in the game so far.

Got my second vaccine shot, hope I dodge the side-effects but I'm mentally bracing for tonight/tomorrow to be a bit rough.

Also finished (re)watching Lord El-Melloi II's Case Files. Still a fun show watching Waver "Sherlock Holmes" Velvet play detective. Second half of the series (Rail Zeppelin Arc) definitely shines and Waver/Gray (and others) v Heartless/Faker is really good.

Edit: Oh, and F/GO just announced the Case Files event date (the impetus for the re-watch) for Friday. So it begins. My next fateful clash with the gacha.

Amiguchi's Prologue in 13 Sentinels complete! We're going full blown Persona with a character named Inaba talking to people through the TV!

Also, I gotta say, I like just the little touches to each character. For instance, Megumi doesn't consider ANYTHING, and Hijiyama literally can't run when he's holding a yakisoba pan. I enjoy little things like that. Makes each character feel unique.

And I know these are still tutorial battles, but I don't feel like I have the hang of combat yet, even though I keep winning.

Just two part 1 side quests left in Replicant

Looks like getting the Lunar Tear is gonna be a huge pain though... whereas in the originally you could apparently garden everything super fast by changing the system clock, here its apparently impossible to manipulate the clock by more than 24 hours (via time zones) and it takes 48 hours to get seeds, so youre waiting for a long team either way

All right, finished all the tutorial battles in 13 Sentinels! Getting to use a big party for that last fight was pretty cool.

Oh, and now it looks like I can freely switch between modes instead of being forced to flip back and forth. Huh, looks like I can freely switch between characters, too. Definitely want to focus on the story mode for now.

I just have to make the tough decision of which character to start with now!

Hmm...Sometimes the game tells me how to unlock a branching path and sometimes it doesn't. I wonder if it means I can't unlock it yet if it doesn't say how to do it.

The Office (British version) Season 1 Episode 2 complete!

Well, my wife bailed after the first episode, so I'm on my own now! Gareth is the best character on the show so far. I can definitely see the resemblance to Dwight, and his actor is so good at playing the role. Right now, I feel like David and Tim are less likable Michael and Jim, although Michael was tough to like in the first season of the American version, too.

I'm pretty sure I read something like that. If I'm remembering correctly, you can still buy them on Steam but not on PSN.

Or maybe the other way around, but if you can't find them on PSN I'm guessing it's the way I said it above.

Update: I had absolutely zero energy this morning, like all my energy was sapped. Arm was sore moreso than the first time as well, but I turned the corner somewhere around late afternoon/early evening and am much better. Soreness mostly faded and well, I'm awake.

All right, I've finished all the Juro Kurabe segments in 13 Sentinels I can for now, and I'm at 55% progress on his story. Looks like I can't continue until I'm at 30%+ for 9 total protagonists. The fact that his personality was overwritten due to some trauma is pretty wild, but it's this Kurabe personality that eventually goes crazy, right? Well, maybe the Izumi one did, too, but they haven't been able to work out the kinks on this one. Shinonome's stinger at the end when Juro asks her if she's okay was great. "No, I'm not...and neither are you."

Also, on a related note for another character, I'm pretty sure Fuyusaka and Morimura are the same character, just at different ages. That seems to be what the foreshadowing is pointing to, at any rate.

Next up, let's tackle our other amnesiac, Ei Sekigahara!

iono I'm pretty sure the afterlife is only featured in the manga directly after the Raditz thing and when Piccolo and the gang are training there so I don't think the mechanics were laid out much. Actually pretty sure it's stated you can only keep your form if you're good, but the anime routinely depicts villains there.

Oh, looks like Sekigahara only has one route available in 13 Sentinels right now! But it was still very informative! So Operation Aegis basically locks everyone into this world and timeline, so there's no more time travel once that's triggered. Also, Morimura said there are 19 sentinels, so what's the deal with the missing 6?

Sekigahara's next segment relies on me completing something from Minami's route first, so let's roll with her now.

F/GO: On the eve of 2021 GACHA BATTLE 2 I can finally do a final accounting of my resources. With 306 pulls, I have a... 88.35% chance of success of drawing Reines. Which leaves way too much of a failure chance - curse you F/GO SSR rates - but much better than I expected to be even a month ago.

Ideally it does not actually take nearly that many pulls. My thinking is something like: "Less than 100 = We beat the odds! I may actually keep pulling to 100 just for other stuff. 100-150 = Okay, that's about in line with expectations. 150-200 = *frowns* A tad unlucky, but I will accept this result. 200+ = damn you gacha."

Well, in 13 Sentinels, I did one segment with Minami and got myself locked out of doing anything else despite having other branching routes open to me! Weird, but it did unlock Miura as a playable character, so I guess I'll give him a shot next.

Keitaro Miura's Prologue in 13 Sentinels complete! I'm guessing most, if not all, of these characters have had their personalities re-written if Miura and Minami are in 2187 with no memory of their lives from the 1940s and 1980s.

I just checked and the original Pokemon Snap had higher reviews than I remembered. But even so, I feel like acceptance of the on rail style of gameplay fell off a lot over the last 22 years (RIP Star Fox). So I didn't expect even a polished implementation of the original Pokemon Snap gameplay to be well received.
