I thought I was misreading the recommended element. Turns out, you just need to apply burn or curse and it will take massive damage. Forte or Lailah.

I'm stuck on the 8th one for now. I didn't have enough dps and it's a race against self-buffing Sync. I hope you guys have Forte.

It feels like it was designed just for Forte with enemies that take massive curse damage and are basically invulnerable to normal attacks.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see a new Earth unit that makes a difference in this battle soon

Not really sure how it happened, but I did a 8 million damage crit with Velvet's MA on the last floor of the tower.

Oh my goodness. I was wondering how high the damage one went. My tops is only like 1.6 million but I don't really optimize my grids/memoria stones all that much or have too many characters with full ascension boards unlocked.

2 million is the highest one. It was so severely above that I'm assuming it was a bug. I'm still occasionally getting that glitch where my game crashes, I reboot and I come back to the battle only to find that backup units from slots 5 and 6 are overlapping the slot 1 unit, and all 6 characters are attacking at once.

Still that's funny to have in the record books! I've gotten a similar glitch before. Character from the 6th spot overlaps the first so I have 5 attackers but the OL bar of the character in my 4th spot will completely fill after every attack. Once it happened so that the enemy unit couldn't even attack. I just sat and walloped on it for a couple of minutes lol

That's a really good haul. It'd be more desirable if some of the newer units were in the pool. Like Reala, Guy, or Ludger.

It looks like a permanent pity system will be introduced next month. EX Gauis likely won't be included, but it should include any subsequent EX banners.

not specifically. The notification says you get some new medals from pulling on premium and ex banners that are valid only for that banner. Enough medals can be cashed in for a banner unit, but I don't see what the exchange rate is.

And if you don't cash in the medals for that banner unit you can convert it to some currency that doesn't expire and could be trades in for awakening or ascension stones

Yay! Getting close to 40k now so we'll see how that goes.

It was around 40k gleams to choose Makina, Forte, or Assid on the half anniversary banner so I have a feeling it will be that many for this. But really hoping for 20k.

Kinda want to do 2 steps of the Wind/Light banner cause none of those memoria stones would be unwelcome other than Velvet. Buuuuut EX Gaius looks really good and my water units could really use a boost like him. But 1 year is so close now uggh.

Gauis looks powerful, but now that we know a pity system is coming, it is easier to wait. And I want to have a stockpile for the anniversary. stay strong

200 summons would be a lot geez. Has it been confirmed that everything is a 1:1 ratio?

I understood it to be 1:1 from the in game update. I hope it is wrong.

I don't have a fire or water healer yet so this banner is a little tempting. Gaius is nice, but I have a maxed out Assid so It's not really a must have.

Meh. 1:1 conversion confirmed so yeah it's 50k to get the character of your choice. Which is crazy cause I don't know how they can expect someone to be able to consistently be able to drop 50k on a banner in the 2 weeks that it's up (and even shorter for EX Summons). And yeah you can exchange them for Turtlez Medals but to get the SSR Tickets it's 400 medals (instead of the 200 for the premium summons) so it's 100k total for a ticket and 200k if you want an Awakening stone. Like you'll get there eventually just normally summoning but it's still a yikes from me.

So yeah I can only conclude that this pity system is designed to get people to buy the gleamstone packages rather than being a true pity system. But this is also the only gatcha game I've played so perhaps this is just standard practice. *shrug*

We've got about a month and a half until the anniversary. I think It shouldn't be a problem hitting 50k for it if you don't summon until then. The six month anniversary had lower requirements for the guaranteed unit so I think it is likely this will as well.

I don't think pity systems are generally setup to make it possible to hit consistently for players not spending money. Might be worth keeping 50k in reserve for an emergency.

Yeah Im already up to 36k, but that was with phantom tower reset and the chapter 8 part 2 stuff, though I'm not fully done with that yet. I think I will hit 50k at this point yeah, I thought the anniversary was a little sooner

Oh yeah the anniversary shouldn't be a problem. In just talking in general. Just thinking it's not realistic for people to have that 50k reserved for a character they really want at any given time making the guarantees ticket moot really. And really, if you're pulling 20 times on one banner chances are you'll get the character you want anyway.

In other news did 2 pulls on Gaius on 2 on the Wind/Light step up banner. Nothing on Gaius but the first two steps got me Kongwai x2 and a third Jude. Which puts me at several Light and Wind units with 1 or 2 more awakenings until max. So I might finish up the step up to see what I get at this point. Have 33k right now and still have the tower and story mode bonuses to get through. So I'll probably still have a good stash by the time the anniversary rolls around.

Oh geez. Does everything die to Guilty Masheroo on the first turn every time? Then Atomic Pew Pew finishes one of the subs the following turn?

First turn is usually a team wipe unless the attack misses. I use her with Forte, Wind Milla, and Luke to support her. Atomic Pew Pew should be able to kill something, over very nearly do so. Winning on turn three is the most common result.

Dang. That's fun! Or maybe just gets boring seeing everything die so quickly all the time lol. But yeah I got unlucky with the half anniversary so I was only able to awaken Forte (and had to use an Awakening memoria to do it).

I had 4 Awakening memoria so I could have awakened Makina but my arena team is fine, usually good enough to get me somewhere in the 400-600 range. Decided to focus on raids so I use 2 of them to awaken M.Kohaku and she's been really helpful (though transcending her is actually going to be a pain since my water units are so far behind)! Got lucky with a regular summon ticket and got the final Estelle I needed which allowed me to use another on Zelos and his 200% attack boost in raids. Just gotta get enough for it all! Wondering if I should save the last one or use it to fully awaken Kongwai mmm.

Yeah, it's super slow getting all those transcendence materials. Stahn and Makina are my only ones that are completely done. It's not so bad getting the fire material with an awakened Assid. Makina took more effort.

You might want to hold onto some stones for the anniversary units. There's bound to be some powerful limited units again

Yeah that's what I think I'm going to do. Get the monthly one next month. If I can beat the transcendent battle that'll be another one. So we'll see!

I've never been able to full clear the transcendent battles, or the phantom tower since the floors above 40. I feel like forte is way too important and I got gimped by not rolling one

For this Sync battle...yeah. It seems brutal without Forte. I don't think you need him for Phantom Tower although it will help. I only used him on the Earth maps, and have been clearing them all

I've never played xillia so I feel happy skipping, even though I desperately need better Earth units. Look at my earth team

I have veigue, Yuri, and kitty Rita but I feel like this team just works better with all the ascensions

I was up to 49k gleams so I felt confident I could do a pull and still have 50k by the anniversary, I went ahead and pulled on the EX and got Shigure (who is the main person I wanted) but also bride Mint. Who I don't know if she is any good but I'll take it

I made a tank arena team and put her in over Estelle since she has the arena bonus right now. Still not really sure if its worth it but it's winning on auto so good enough for me

Chronos is really only there to kill Estelles but I'm still not sure if I should frontline him or not. I will just need to run the team a few more times and see if its worth it or not

Doesn't the arena bonus provide only an attack boost? That's not really relevant to Mint/Estelle.

I don't auto any content cause I don't really go for optimization so nothing usually lines up lol.

But I just switched up my arena team and I'm currently rocking Chronos/Forte/M.Kohaku/Velvet with Cress/Zelos in reserve. All are awakened. M.Kohaku replaced unawakened Kanata and Zelos replaced Norma. Figured if things were dire enough for it to get to Norma I'd rather have Zelos's stats/damage than Norma's buffs and I'd rather have his awakened skill over Norma's. M.Kohaku's Mystic Arte is basically a OHKO with Shirley's stone and still offers the bit gen Kanata does (without as much damage obviously) and healing. Only been a week with this team but it got me to like 250 which is my best placement so even though I miss Kanata's AoE attack and damage...M.Kohaku is doing just fine haha
