i watched it

honestly found it kind of boring tbh. i remember thinking it felt very faithful though.

I've been watching the TWEWY anime. It's the first anime based on a game I've watched, and it's kinda odd seeing how the gameplay mechanics are integrated into it. It's also on the rushed side, trying to fit the whole story into only 12 20-minute episodes.

I've also made the change of pushing Destiny 2 over Eternia... it just damn really sticks with me despite having some real frustrations with it, last time I beat Legendia is when I pushed D2 over Phantasia but I think even that was with an equivalence. Destiny 2 really keeps climbing up over time, maybe Abyss will see some growing feelings as I play others.

Abyss I dunno it's got a fairly decent cast and a more fleshed out story & antogonists but I'm not that strong about it. I mentioned in my character breakdown I just don't care about Van, his replica plot is dumb and the dude doesn't even treat replicas with respect so ??? The game makes a good story for Luke but also I don't want to like Luke.



Tales of the Tempest next, already prepared on my Wii U but probably not diving straight in immediately (MonHun update should be coming soon anyhow)

post-Akzeriuth tho also going a bit further in some scenes like showing more of Asch's post-fomicry past trying to get back home, and just now a better view of Jade with Dist and using fomicry on Nebilim

I'm hoping this can keep Asch from being insufferable at the end because I really wanna put him back over Luke

I've been playing a Kingdom Hearts D&D campaign for the past few years with a few friends, going over the first Kingdom Hearts game. The other main player just started and finished Kingdom Hearts a few days ago for the first time, so my DM told me I could spoil myself by playing.

So I bought the Epic Games KH bundle. It's pretty fun so far, though Wonderland was a lot more fun in D&D since my friend cast Create Bonfire under the Queen's butt and managed to actually kill her! Pretty fun collecting things.

further into Tempest now and okay I'm liking it actually - that first dungeon/forest oh boy was not a good intro

also the tertiary playable characters are all cool, Caius and Ruby are standard fair, villains are intriguing in their mystery which is a nice feeling

battle system is basic but being simple to play's not a bad thing. definitely a more managable 3-rails system than Rebirth was for what it's worth (tho grr non-configurable buttons so I can't do my usual Symphonia gamecube-controller-reminiscent setup - Y artes B attack A guard)

Tales of the Tempest beated

That was a fun little romp... outside of all the archaic stuff as their first budget DS test. But for a short game I could put up with it and I kinda like the small compact story - although approaching the end kinda caught me off guard like oh wait what this is leading us to the final dungeon?

... not that I wanna do the extras because oooooh booooy traversing the world is incredibly taxing, large maps that you move very slowly in with a fairly high random encounter right

pocket sized tales story enjoyable tho, Caius is alright, has his low moments but he's a kid and then the other three are cool (Tilkis husbando tier, Arria waifu... ofc I approve their ship)... Rubia is annoying though and only gets really dumb in the plot woof.

villains... I think I like them in their own ways, Rommy really builds up your ire but she's the most villainous of the bunch. Lukius was more of the interest arc baddie. Albert kinda goofy, and final boss for what little there is of him... gets a shallow like for background.

*edit* oh right and earlier beated Abyss anime so that's two Tales birds down today... gonna make some Abyss shifts when I put in the Tempest update
