Yeah, that is a bit messed up.

Anyways, fried chicken is considered a picnic food and keeping it cold is a whole lot easier than heating it back up or keeping it hot.

I can eat a lot of things cold from the fridge. One thing I won't eat though, is cold rice. Too crunchy.

No.

Pizza isn't particularly susceptible to bacteria, even if you leave it out at room temperature in the cardboard box you can snack on it over a weekend.

Chicken's a little more dangerous but if you're putting it immediately in the fridge and then eating it within the next day or two it's fine.
