As mentioned before, I hard disagree with Ben being near the top. I think the actor did a good job with what he was provided, but too much of Lost was Ben being obviously manipulative and other characters deciding to fall for it for seemingly no reason.

And I really have no idea why they tried to give him a forced "redemption" at the end when he was pretty much unrepentantly shitty.

yeah, one thing about the way lost ended is how people say "it was all about the characters!"

i was always a character-first guy and the injustice it did to many of its characters was the worst part of it all

Thanks for the topic! Desmond will always be my #1 (I even have a tattoo that says see you in another life - the context is a long story but it's based on Lost) but a solid top of the ranking overall.

Not penny's boat is still probably the most impactful TV scene I will ever see

One thing I predicted/hoped would happen was that Desmond would turn Claire back from being evil/whatever by reading her Charlie's Greatest Hits. Such a missed opportunity.
