Continuing my walk \ run every day. Currently day 41 for the year or day 270 total including end of last year. Done 130km this year so far and lost 6lbs this year. Slowly coming off. Lost 22lbs in total since starting this.

I got my sinus issue cleared up and started running again but now it's too cold this week, so I'm taking another break. I've been compensating with extended calisthenics routines that are really pushing me at the end. Still not the same as getting outside for a full run but it is (hopefully) keeping me burning enough to keep losing weight, which brings me to another annoyance.

I'm having a bit of an issue switching from calorie restriction for weight loss to increased activity after three years of that. I've reached my lower limit that lets me maintain a full day of activity but I've gotten so used to these huge (but safe/sustainable for my previous weight) calorie deficits and just lowering calories when it was time to lose more weight.

Now, if I don't exercise, I don't lose weight and it takes a bit more effort (for me, anyway) to maintain exercise routines than to simply modify diet. Not eating shit or eating too much is so easy now. Having to settle for less than ideal exercise, especially when the mental component is as important as the physical, is trying. I enjoy running so much and have no problem getting out there. It's a real pick me up and for a bit was the cornerstone of my COVID-19 coping system.

Fortunately, it will be spring soon and I can really kick things into gear but the rest of winter is gonna be a slog.

Anyway, still way better than being the near 400lb immobile blob I was, so I'll quit bitching.

It's tough trying to gain weight. Tipped the scale at 176.6 today, lowest I've weighed in for a couple weeks now. I'm really just trying to get through theis heavy (for me) week now and then re-evaluate my plans

Hell yeah dude! My lifts this week have been so so but I was crushing it for like 8 weeks. So it's probably about time for a deload. Just trying to grind this week out.

Did barbell calf raises and ab work afterwards.

I ordered some thick mats so I can work my way up to nordic curls/glute ham raises. The idea is to put them under my chest/waist so I can do the movements over a shorter distance, then work my way down to the full range of motion.

Got the idea from PPP's mat pulls

Incorporated the row machine into my off day.

I'm attempting to cut by getting my diet back in line but using some workout help to slim down too. For now, my row machine lives in front of my TV. I figure rowing through an episode or two of television a day will definitely help out. I did it during quarantine and it worked out pretty well.

Damn yeah I walked three places for beer yesterday and every single one was closed lmao. I probably walked about 2.0 miles in the snow and cold. Oh well, overall I was glad that no one had to risk going to work.

Luckily I lift at home!

Really feeling it today.
Had some very minor soreness from the row machine yesterday since it was my first time using it in months. Then shoveled snow. Then did my normal routine. Then later shoveled snow again. Work was a short day due to weather so I had a lot of free time, so I figured I'd take the opportunity to wear myself out.

Not looking forward to how my legs/core will feel tomorrow. Shoveling heavy ass snow is a very solid workout all in it's own.

I ran a little over 4 miles, and walked another 2 miles like eight hours later.

Tomorrow I'm probably going to lift and no cardio, well, maybe half an hour on a stationary bike while playing Xenosaga when I get up in the morning but lift in the later afternoon.

Started my weightloss journey this week to lose 20 pounds. And have been eating less junk and more vegetables and fruits. Protien bars like cliff or Rx are surprisingly expansive.

Heck healthy products in general are such from what I noticed. I'm thinking of buying a fitness band but am wondering if their just overkill at the most or unnecessary at the least.
