Like I get it a few years ago, but free trades are the industry standard at this point. Now robinhood just has an inferior platform and management that's made multiple promises they later walked back.

And now this shit today? Dude fuck robinhood. It's time to get a big boy brokerage account.

I would rather look at a simple and clean UI than have a bunch of whatever on my screen at one given time

Usually TD is when Im at home and RH when Im out and about

Definitely going to lose a lot of people from this, if any other trading aps are sensible they'll be ready to pounce to gobble up the masses leaving.

I have free option trading on fidelity. I would assume most of the other large firms do as well

Lol, if you're worried about a 65 cent contract fee you shouldn't be trading options

Why pay 65 cents when you can pay nothing though?

I like ETrade more than Robinhood but I'd be lying if I said Etrade had a better UI. Their app is complete garbage.

Yeah that's another thing about RH. It's easy to navigate. As long as you're not looking at technical indicators it's the perfect interface that everyone should model themselves after. I'd probably use it again if not for the constant shutdowns.

So I can have the majority of my net worth with a firm I trust.

You trust them now, but they can turn on you. Reliable TD and Schwab played RH's game too with gamestop.

Today is not the only reason I don't trust them. I almost swapped over to robinhood a couple of years ago when they announced they were going to be offering I think like 2.3% interest on idle cash. Which they immediately walked back and said they hadn't really cleared with any banks. They also had multiple trading halts back in march last year during highly volatile days.

They have a track record of reasons to be wary
