and you suddenly start to really appreciate it on a level you never did before (even if you already liked it before)? Like you just start really digging a random song?

That happens to me every once in a while. It also kinda sucks because I don't know anyone else who likes the music that I like.

No; unfortunately it's the other way for me. I'll notice an instrument or other sound effect in a favorite song that I somehow hadn't noticed before, and it always changes the song for the worse.

Eh, usually it happens for me after not listening to a song for like a few years...

Sometimes I find out I have been singing the wrong lyrics to songs I love for years due to what it actually sounds like they they saying if that counts.

Nothing really outside of video games. There were a couple FFVI tracks that I didn't have much appreciation for because the places where they played tended to drag on, but looking back on the music itself, The Magic House, while not the catchiest tune around, is interesting in how it progressively builds upon itself, and The Phantom Forest is a hauntingly beautiful piece. Gogo's theme, strangely enough, I could have swore I heard before somewhere else, long before I ever touched the game.

Yeah, I tend to burn out on songs I've heard too many times. If anything, a song resurfaces after many years that I haven't heard in a long time that hits me differently than it did before. The context relating to my life is different and it gives the song new meaning.

Totally.

I know this is going to sound stupid, but that's how I feel about a lot of Britney Spears tracks >__>. I went through a bit of a 'phase' a while back. That phase ended up turning into a Strapping Young Lad phase lol.

Happens to me regularly, especially if its a song Ive heard in the background a lot or since I was a kid. Sometimes youll just suddenly have a new perspective on the song and a new appreciation for it. These are a couple Ive felt that way about lately.
