dies irae and g senjou are both spectacular, but their monetization methods are kind of wack (dies irae sells routes 1+3 as a pack, then routes 2+4) (g senjou will let you buy the game for half price if you're willing to go without voices, which i really don't recommend)
but hey, dies irae has a pretty lengthy demo (covers up to route split), so it's kinda worth trying out. and g senjou was my favorite out of approximately a hundred visual novels for the better part of a decade

those are great and all but they can't handle stuff like... nene's entire route... which is centered around her being ultra horny due to magical influences.......

its a price tag you can justify in retrospect, but not up front

i do think little busters is a lot more approachable (also it was $20 on a steam sale recently), but clannad is a much more timeless experience

I mean those are the exceptions to the rule right, it's like someone claiming they are a huge nerd because they play World of Warcraft or something. Liking a few VN's doesn't make you a VN lover in my book, just like how someone that enjoys Rocky 1 and 2 does not make them a boxing fan.

I quite liked the main Grisaia trilogy. There's no ero stuff in the Phantom Trigger ones, so I never bothered with them. Been meaning to play a new one, but never get around to it.

got it via that bundle recently but the talk about censoring out stuff has made me kinda pass on actually reading it for now, will eventually though. it's less neutered than if my heart had wings, at least
