The nude photos were on the daughters phone, Kellyanne took her phone at one point, then they ended up on her (Kellyanne) Twitter. Sounds open and shut.

so, just saying, but its equally illegal for the daughter to have those photos. there is no age restriction on who can be charged with possession of child porn.

granted, it doesnt sound like she didnt have a parent to teach her better, and her mom also gets the added bonus of having distributed it.

all i did was say that the law exists, and that she is putting herself in legal danger by having those pictures.

her mom is obviously the villain here. i didnt debate that fact or try to counter that fact. she distributed naked pictures of her daughter and she needs to have been in prison already.

i sort of understand it. wouldnt say i agree with it, but im guessing the logic is that whoever owns them, those pictures are still child porn. they can still spread to other people. its not unreasonable to assume that a kid taking nude pictures is likely taking them to share with someone, and if it goes to one other person then it is likely going to end up going to 10 other people and if it goes to 10 other people then its going to go to 100 more and eventually its going to end up in the hands of a pedo somewhere. i feel like the law, however misguided, is meant to protect kids, theyre just doing so by putting them in legal jeopardy instead.

Yes. It is illegal to possess nude photos of anyone under the age of 18. It doesnt matter who owns the photos, or who the photos are of. In the US, they are illegal to have.

Nevermind. I looked it up and it looks like there have been some cases. How dumb is that? How can someone possibly be labeled a sex offender for having pictures of themself. In this Kellanne case, it seems like an awfully convenient loophole to victimblame.

im sure they have, but im also fairly certain that cases like that involving minors would not be on the public record so there would be no way to say for certain either way.

It literally does not matter if her having a photo of herself is illegal because she is the victim in this situation and no one is going to prosecute her for that. Cases where minors have been charged for having nude pictures of themselves have been very different scenarios than what is going on here.

the fuck? i said the daughter did something illegal, and she did. i also said, prior to even finding out that the photos came off of the daughters phone, that kellyanne should have already been in prison. it was literally the first thing i said in the topic.

i didnt blame her, and i didnt state any sort of stance on the law aside from acknowledging its existence. if he read into what i said beyond what i said that is on him for being a sensitive babyman, not me.
