I've got one of the Marathon games on the Xbox 360. I think it was Durandal.

I'm aware of PiD, but I never really played it, because Mac gaming was shite. I really only became aware of Marathon when Halo first hit big, and only played Durandal because it was the one that got a PC port originally (and I actually named one of my old laptops Durandal when I named it for network use).

Alien Legacy
NetStorm
Exile: Escape from the Pit

Actually quite a few that I will never know the name of

a downloadable RPG around the era of Exile where I fought skeletons in a crypt under the starter town. I really liked that one, but who knows what it was

there was an environmental sim-city like game that I had once, but I can never find any info on it

some other random downloadable "rpg" game I played that was kind of like fallout, maybe, but really odd. it was surprisingly detailed... with what you could do with people you encountered... (basically, things you killed could be harvested for meat, and that didn't not include people).

Durandal was Marathon 2. Good game, but not likely to make sense story-wise without going thru M1 first.

Since 1995, literally all my hard drives have been named Leela, Durandal, or Tycho, based on what I used them for, and followed by a roman numeral as older drives were replaced by newer ones.

I'm up to Leela 7, Durandal 6, and Tycho 3.

Pretty sure you can play all of the old Bungie games on sourceforge, but I've never actually gotten around to Marathon Infinity (3).

Watched his breakdown of 1, 1/3 of his way thru his synopsis of 2, he's on the right track, but he's missing some of the finer details. Still a decent rundown for the uninitiated.

the people he has voicing the AI's though couldn't be further from how I imagined them. He's absolutely dead-on though when he talks about the Tower level in 2.

Forsaken - Full 3D shooter similar to Descent, actually got remade a while back, but still never seen anyone talk about it
Pod - Racing game
Screamer - Another racing game
Shadow Watch - Turn based strategy
Stonekeep - First person action RPG

I never saw anything about a remake, but it was sort of on the N64 (the levels are completely different) and it's on Steam

NetStorm. It was a really weird RTS that took place in the sky. You picked a faction tied to a specific element (fire, wind, water, electricity) and had to use a bridge/pathmaking system that connected to your starting area to build your various towers and such. It was really original and a blast online.

Steam is the remake / remaster. Added additional levels that were n64 exclusive, removed the AI 'multiplayer' bot, possibly other changes I'm not aware of.

Dark Reign I never got into because it (or all RTSs at the time) always felt so clunky to me compared to Blizzard RTSs. (but it did have *great* music, if I recall composed by the same guy that did Mechwarrior 2.)

Forsaken I just can't stand in comparison to Descent, and tried it again recently but just reinforced my dislike of it

Stonekeep is actually pretty good. I couldn't make it passed the watery areas as a kid, but having tried it again recently made it super far but still failed to finish it due to petering out rather than getting stuck.
