tbh i kinda prefer older versions of the first game over prelude, but prelude also has a little more content then them and the higher resolutions are pretty worthwhile. (i just miss the old sprite based battles even if it was janky)

the pc version is limited but the ps2 and psp versions had most of prelude's mechanics (and i still liked the pc gameplay despite peak jank)

Uta 2 and 3 together form one of the best stories I've ever seen in a game. Prelude isn't quite as good but is still solid and is required reading for the later games, especially 3. Can't recommend this series enough, especially now that there's an actually approachable way of playing all the games.
