I'm not even a baseball guy, but the sport is SO OLD that its old timers are mythical in a way that no other American athletes (short of boxing since it's just as old) seem to replicate.
I'd never disqualify Bonds, but a Mt. Rushmore has four faces Babe Ty Cobb Cy Young Ted Williams DiMaggio Mays Aaron Bonds Some BIG names are getting omitted.
