Also rarely hear about Islam-extremist related violence too.
Call me crazy but maybe since people stopped giving it so much attention, the mass murder went down?

Depends on the news you consume. I was just reading an article on how ISIS is recruiting and growing. It's still being talked about, just not getting top billing because they haven't done anything significant in a while.

The attacks overseas are still happening, they just haven't been getting as much coverage because the media has shifted its focus (probably because they realize they had been indirectly supporting Trump). And it's worth noting that they initially tried to pawn the Boston Bombing off as a rightwing extremist, so even at that time they were trying to shift the narrative before the actual culprits became known.

The actual attacks have never stopped, only the coverage has stopped. You bring up France, but they were deploying soldiers to protect schools and churches within the last year after terrorist attacks. And it's possible that the US has had some smaller scale attacks that didn't get as much coverage as they used to.

People care. Theyre still beheading all kinds of people. It just isnt making the rounds online. Not long ago a teacher in France was beheaded for showing a drawing of Allah. Cant remember the last time any other religion beheaded anyone for showing a picture of Jesus or their respective saviour.

Pulse Nightclub was just one guy being an asshole; as near as anyone can tell, it was a legit radical Islam zealot.

He bragged about being part of Al Qaeda, ISIS, and Hamas to his co-workers, seemingly in a bid to sound tough. If you know anything about your Islamic extremists, you know that all three of those groups hate each others' guts and, at the time the shooting happened, were busy murdering the fuck out of each other in Syria and Iraq.

But to the actual point of the topic, right-wing extremists and gun nuts have been doing a lot more damage in the last few years, so they're getting a lot more of the attention. Radical Islam was always a boogeyman that was more flash than actual substance, at least in the West; the death toll from right-wing extremists has been higher every year this century except for 2001.

There's constant attacks in many countries, we just stopped giving it the attention it deserves because the west is importing them by the million and we are trying to lower racial tensions.

37 Islamic terror attacks in 2020, literally hundreds killed vs ill defined (politically exploitable) far right terror with a death total of 5, Antifa conflicts and BLM have a much higher kill count but aren't considered terrorists because reasons.
