That was a real scumbag move by Howard Lincoln. That should have been a moment for Sega and Nintendo to put aside their differences in the face of a bipartisan witch hunt. Sadly it didn't happen.

There was a timeline split somewhere in the mid 2010s where Nintendo and Sony swapped places.


Sony chose to move their Playstation division to California and shortly afterwards Nintendo made that statement that they won't censor 3rd party titles as long as they're not AO (which got a few games in Japan delisted temporarily, because they are ports of old Saturn titles predating CERO, in which damn near anything goes at the time).

Yeah sad Nintendo was so good back then and their CEO was just pathetic.

Also there was rumors that N64 used cartridges because they were afraid of piracy and only he was the person to say that wasnt true. So it was probably true.
