He went through a restricted area in downtown DC that was blocked as cops found huge arsenal in his truck including a loaded pistol and more than 500 rounds of ammunition!! He is also charged with possession of an unregistered firearm and unlawful possession of ammo He spoke out to dailymail and claimed it was an "honest mistake" and he was running LATE as a security guard in the area He said "I pulled up to a checkpoint after getting lost in DC because i'm a country boy. I showed them the inauguration badge that was given to me" in a TEAR FILLED INTERVIEW. His brother Clint tells dailymail "I believe someone forgot to put him in the system to be authorized in. he gave them the badge that was given to him. How can it be "false credentials" when it was what they gave him?" Police said he had turned over a non-government issued credential but he said he was hired by security firm MVP protective services to guard media equipment near the 7th and Constitution He had driven up from Virginia where he is licensed to carry in his Ford F-150 and forgotten to remove his arsenal as he had admitted to being armed with a loaded gun and shotgun shells but denied he had 500 ammo rounds Beeler says "It was just me forgetting to take it out of my truck before i left work. I don't know what DC laws are. It still comes back to me, but i'm not a criminal. At first I was going to criticize that amount of ammo as being scary, but then it hit me that it's probably pistol ammo and, while that sounds like a ton to non-gun owners, it might not actually be that much. Regardless, he was in a restricted area with a weapon and a lot of ammo so the arrest was warranted. What happens after might depend on what he can prove, considering he was supposedly working security for a company. If the company vouches for him, I imagine he won't be in too much trouble.
