like ya things were ramping up and so I had a sense but it still came too soon :(

i need more. Also, Alexis > Moira > David > Johnny

and jocelyn always made me laugh for some reason.

this show also claims the title of being the first tv show to make me actually shed tears with a lot of the big scenes in the final season. this really is a gem of a show in a feel good way that always threatens to but somehow never actually crosses the line into being saccharine and cheesy (looking at you, final season of parks & rec).

But also, idk if you know this but I like to mention it anyway in case you didn't, the show was created by the actors that play David and Johnny (who are actually father and son), and Twyla is David's sister (again the actors).

I'm on season 5 now. Love it so much more than I was expecting too. Every main character and even most side characters are just so charming and real

I kinda feel like bob wasn't given enough time to shine

I watched the first few episodes and it didn't really grab me but I'd be willing to try again. When would you say it starts hitting its stride?

i was never like a giant fan of it, but the show honestly gets better every season. season 3-4 is probably when the characters genuinely start becoming better people and it stops being a show about trainwrecks.

On ST right now. Alexis, David and Stevie are all excellent (though Stevie has been given less chance to excel lately since David's boyfriend was introduced)

Really not a fan of Moira though.

Yeah, the show just gradually builds on itself. It's usually not top tier hilarious but it's got really entertaining characters and a pretty refreshing and breezy take on the romance plots. I'd say it was about season 3 where the show fully comes into itself.
