Outside of standing in line in shops waiting to go in/get served no. I love watching folk dart out of my way when it's clear I'm coming through though. One old dear almost got herself ran over because she decided to walk into the road for reasons when she saw me coming.

Did at first for a month or so but then...not really.

I have an extremely small circle of people I see (under five at all times).

We have maintained safe by minimalizing close contact, washing hands, sanitizing shared items and all stayed covid free.

Neither masks nor social distancing alone will 100% prevent the spread of the virus. Wearing masks and social distancing simultaneously will significantly reduce the spread of COVID but not 100% eliminate it. According the CDC, 59% of all COVID-19 cases were spread from people with no symptoms, killing approximately ~230,000 people of the current 400,000+ currently dead in the US and over 2000 of the 4000+ Americans who are dying every single day. This is why everyone needs to do their part wearing masks and socially distancing, even if they're young and feel fine.

Yes and I've cut down on visiting people or people visiting me. I've had several fam members and friends/co-workers test pos for covid so yeah I social distance and I wear a mask.

Generally, but case numbers in my province are low enough that I don't worry too much if I end up in a situation where I can't.

Being 6 feet apart instead of 2 feet (which is pretty common if you aren't actively trying to space yourself out further) reduces the aerosol density (and therefore pathogen load) to which you're exposed by a factor of 27, or about 96%. Masks (especially non-medical ones) still leave enough of a transmission risk that reducing that risk by another 96% is pretty significant.

Broadly, masks are considered a second line of defense, behind distancing. You wear a mask to mitigate the risk of being unable to distance (hence they're required indoors, where distancing is often difficult), not to eliminate the need for distancing.

Working 3rd shift makes it easy to social distance. Although now i can't do my shopping at 2AM since most stores close at 8PM around here.

I do kind of have to question how many essential stores have reduced their hours in response to the pandemic. Reducing hours doesn't reduce the number of people that show up, it just means the same number of people show up within a shorter time period, resulting in higher density and greater transmission risk. I get that many of them need to be closed for an extra hour or two to carry out the additional cleaning, but many have gone from being 24-hour stores to being open 12 hours or less, which goes way beyond that.

I live in the middle of nowhere and don't work so I naturally social distance. I do grocery pick up at Wal Mart. I have been in that store 4 times since March.

You could do that but you would be in the wrong no matter if they punch you back as you would be the one committing assault. Still even without COVID I do like people to move out of my way when I'm walking. Some even stop right infront of me as they are not self aware at all.

Yeah, have been the whole time. 90% of people sucked ass with personal space in the grocery store pre-pandemic, and they're hardly better now.

99% of the people who I see in stores these days are not paying attention to anything around them at all. That is one of my triggers. Also when Im shopping with my mom, I have the cart following her walking and people pull out of an aisle between us.

Not really. Some stores require masks but that's about all the effort I can give. It's 6 feet or masks. No need to go crazy. There's enough crazy out there as it is. I am off of work for a bit so that's fine too.
