First two episodes were really good! Excited to see what they bring to the table for the rest of the series!

Just watched episodes 1 and 2.

I thought they were gonna play it cool for a bit but we jumpin' straight to weird stuff happening and it's got me intrigued.

Especially since I saw something that said Wandavision, Spider-Man 3 and Doctor Strange 2 were all semi-connected to each other.

Thought the first two episodes were entertaining. Got a few chuckles from me. I'm glad to see Marvel Studios finally doing something more unique instead of by the books superhero stories.

They absolutely started adding black people to the cast of sitcoms in the 1960s...kinda why she's introduced in the 1960s era.

Very trippy with a mix of parody. Seems like the "illusion" will unravel as the series goes on.

Also, the commercials had a Stark toaster. But the watch was from Strucker, the Hyrda agent who worked on Wanda and Pietro's powers.

an episode a week is stupid as hell, especially on a digital streaming platform, and doubly especially when the show itself is created to be binged.

i'll watch it when every episode is out.

An episode a week is good because it gives me a reason to keep living from week to week.

I enjoyed it, it's pretty strange.

It is giving me some major Legion vibes right now.

Legion was great. When I told my dad that Wandavision was very different and weird, he asked if it was anything like Legion. Parts of it do give me that kind of vibe.

What gives you the impression that it's created to be binged? There's no indication or statement implying such. I think weekly releases are fine since they are more conducive to regular discussion and theorizing.

This, plus not only is it consistent with the platform's practices (Mandalorian), but every show with the exception of Netflix.

because of how the shows format is designed. it's shot and played out like you're meant to watch the next episode right away instead of waiting a week.

No, it's not. I think you're projecting your own personal desires onto the show and misinterpreting it as a result. The episodes played out episodically, with hints of weirdness. This is no different from a weekly show with mysterious elements, like Lost. I've worked in television production, and nothing about this show's production, release, or content implies it's not meant to be a weekly series; in fact, everything points to the fact that it IS supposed be a weekly series. If this was created and intended as a binge event then Disney would have released it as such.

Yeah. I worked on some shows in NYC (nothing good). I actually got in minor trouble with the first production company because when I first got the job I posted here about it (this was about 2011/12) and mentioned some of the shows the company was known for and we all made fun of them (it was all TLC drivel, mostly involved little people). The post got archived on the old Lurker archive and became one of the first Google results for the company lol. I had to contact the Lurker admin to get them to remove it so I could keep the job. That's actually a big part of why I stopped posting here for a while too.

I got one of my degrees in Film Production & Digital Media, but my experience in the industry turned me off to it. I still make movies and projects with friends (well not so much this last year), and I know a lot of in the industry in both LA and NYC, but pursuing a career in it is not something I'm looking at anymore.

it would not have been.

keeping it weekly, like the mandalorian, means that people need to stay subbed. if it was released all at once like it was supposed to, then people would sub, watch it, then unsub. why? because disney+ doesn't actually have that many subscribers.

They most likely would. That's also what people did with the Mandalorian. They waited for it all to come out to get the free week of Disney+ and binge it... That way, they would have to pay... I assume many will do it with this show as well. Though, they may not get another free week. Though, I guess all you would have to do is get another email address... I'll probably wait, as well... I'm not much for waiting weekly anymore. I've been spoiled by binging these days. And I'd personally rather do that...

mhm. that's what we're doing, and my friend, who was entirely way more excited about this show than we were, was so disappointed when he made an account and saw it was only two episodes and more would come out once a week.

like he actively hates disney+ now and is planning on just pirating the show. it's an extreme overreaction, but whatever dude

If anything, this is one of the only marvel shows I would say that works perfectly well with an obvious week-by-week format. I mean come on, it's even formated as an old school television show. I like being able to binge shows much more than having to wait a week for the next episode, but that doesn't change the facts. Lol

Why are you the way you are?

My theory:
I think Wanda is asleep and having a nightmare induced by the Dr. Strange villain Nightmare. Her powers are being used to bring other people into her created reality in her mind. This is why SWORD is involved and trying to wake her up. I think Wanda was particular vulnerable to someone like Nightmare because of her recent loss of Vision. It will be hard for her to give up this reality but once she really realizes that it's hurting other people around her, she will be forced to make a difficult decision and let vision go. Dr. Strange will come into it by traveling to the dream dimension to help Wanda. This will tie into the part she will play in the next Dr. Strange movie.

One thing I'm certain of is that Agnes is Agatha Harkness. The name similarities aside, in the trailer for the series she's wearing a witch outfit for the Halloween episode. This series also seems to touch on Wanda and Vision having children, which Harkness has a hand in. If I recall, some people found clues in the opening sequence of the second episode too, but I didn't look heavily at that.

So far the show is far more weird than good
