of course not, it's california.

they don't even allow outdoor dining, even though the airflow would make it better

Is it actually allowed anywhere right now? All I see about neighbouring countries is that their lockdowns are much stricter, beyond anything our government is willing to do.

I think so? I'm not 100% sure, I haven't left my house in months.

Ive got family in Arizona and a couple weeks ago they were making it sound like pretty much everything is still open for people to go to if they want

It just re-opened for the second time here last week, still limited capacity. There are some US states with no restrictions.

Dining in became an option back in June before the big spike - limited capacity, though.

Wearing a face mask is mandatory until you are served your drink/appetizer/whatever.

Yes, but at half capacity and at least a 6-foot distance between tables.

There hasn't been an actual ban on indoor dining since June or July.

Not anymore. We are in our third lockdown. We will probably be in and out of it for the rest of the year.

Yeah. Many are voluntarily only doing takeout or delivery though, because it's a lot easier than abiding by all the rules in place. They clearly aren't doing too badly because of it though. The Chinese restaurant I like had a queue of 2+ hours the other day when I tried ordering. I ended up going to the Japanese place because it was only half an hour (ended up being more, but it was still way better than 2 hours).

We were shut down in the spring, opened up in the summer, then shut down again in the fall.

I don't miss it much, but it was handy for celebrating birthdays/whetev.

If things get back to normal I cant wait to do stuff like go to disneyland or a nice restaurant with family. It might actually bring me to tears to be able to safely enjoy stuff like that again.
