Why would a vaccine cause cancer? Unless theres some evidence pointing to that being an actual possibility I dont know about

I had Covid back in mid December and that sounds way worse than what I dealt with. Sorry you're having that kind of reaction.

Covid does not affect everyone equally shit some people have it and have 0 symptoms or problems with it. It's not like drinking rat poison that would kill everyone of us.

Update: I feel great. No headaches, fevers or anything.

I took another day off work just to get some real sleep but, I could have went in today with no issue. My body is weird.

I also got the second dose of the vaccine, last Friday. The day of I didn't feel anything. Then felt a lot of the same symptoms as TC but just not nearly as bad the next day. Felt like I was physically sick with the flu (muscle pains, chills, fatigue, headache) but my mind was functioning normally. It was a bizarre feeling. Like my body felt like shit but mentally I was ready to go do anything other than rest in bed.

The following day (Sunday) wasn't nearly as bad. Completely normal by Monday. I took an advil every 6 hours or so, I think that significantly made a difference.

If you are fearful of the vaccine because you think you will get covid-19 from it, that is just straight up impossible. If you are worried about the short term side effects, they only last 2-3 days (in most cases, some people don't feel any side effects at all). If you are worried about long term issues, that's understandable because long term testing was obviously not possible with these vaccines. However, there is no evidence to suggest that there are any significant long term effects...like at all.

So in short, get the vaccine, take some advil and be prepared for a couple days if feeling kind of crappy.

If nothing else, you should contact whatever doctor gave you the shot to let them know about the side effects for statistical purposes, since it sounds like you did have relatively severe ones compared to most others.

Oh, for sure command already knows that I am out for vaccine related reasons.

I had to(it was "strongly encouraged ")give a full rundown of my symptoms to my bosses (who are doctors). Who then gives a breakdown of our staff to command.

As for this part, everyone at Walter Reed was given the same "return in 2 weeks for the second dose" orders.

I think my body was just eager to fight something, since I haven't been sick in nearly a year.

Its not gonna seem foolish if you end up with a bad case of Covid or unknowingly contract it and pass it on to people you care about

Being sick for a day is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

If I had to take this vaccine again, with complete knowledge that I would get sick for 24 hours, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Get the shots, people.

It is well known that the 2nd dose of some of the covid vaccines can cause this effect. Even the producers of these vaccines say this side effect can happen.

The first topic I made about this in December, I said it was no big deal. I had virtually no reaction.

This topic was different, I gave a complete and honest rundown of what I experienced. If I just lied and said "the second shot was fine, too" what would have been the point of that?

Yeah, that sounds normal. It wouldn't surprise me, though, if 2 weeks isn't ideal for everyone. Be interesting to see how that schedule evolves as more vaccines roll out and more data comes in on side effects.

Cancer can probably just happen on its own as well, since the aging process slowly damages cells as they replicate over time

Vaccines are very safe for nearly everyone though and billions of dollars are spent ensuring their safety. Companies like Johnson & Johnson arent going to release a product to the public if they think theres even a slight chance of it harming people and destroying their ability to exist and make profit
