I just got modded on the Street Fighter 5 board for saying Akuma looks like a cross between a caveman and a baked potato. The mod was so offended it wasn't even able to be disputed, and requested I use the appropriate flair in the future (Is there a potato flair?!?!)

To be fair, looking at your topic, it has literally nothing to do with anything, so it's possible people there have complained in the past about such topics, and now they want you to use the Community flair so people can filter them out.

Last time I got modded was a year or two ago when someone posted a meme picture with some drawings and text...like a full 3 paragraphs of text. I quoted the message. My message got deleted because one of the words in the text in the picture in the quote was censor bypassed...

I had a post get modded for censor bypass. I went and looked at the post and it was utterly innocuous. I used a four letter word but had literally the entire word replaced with asterisks. Didn't even type the first letter: "****"

I challenged it like, what on earth how is that against the rules??

The mod was like "oh it wasn't the swear word that you clearly insinuated, it was this other totally mundane and non-offensive word that is on the ban list just because the mods don't like it" more or less

I remember I got modded on Final Fantasy 7 board for asking about the origin of Bahamut or something. It was modded for off-topic posting, even though it was about a character in the game. But I was told that anything not pertaining to gameplay was considered off-topic.

Meanwhile, the "Chocobo Billy's Chocobo Ranch - Part 17" roleplaying topic was allowed to stay up. But of course, you're not allowed to point out moderation hypocrisies in even the most flagrant examples...

You cant dispute it, because you literally were not moderated. You just received a reminder to use the community flair which was fixed for you when you received the notice. This isnt something that gets held against you, and the post hasnt been deleted

Community posts are just to allows more social board, off topic posts on some of the more popular game boards. Im guess the mod considered it a community post since more of a joke post not really about the game. Im not sure I would agree, but its not relevant since its not a moderation.

"Spoilers without warning" in for a topic on the Wind Waker board literally called "Why did Ganondorf..... (SPOILERS!)"

When contested he argued that Ganondorf being in WW at all was a spoiler.

Even though the leaflet in the damn game box you see before you can even insert the disc into the Gamecube flat out shows Ganondorf.

Even though the intro when you first start the game says that Ganondorf broke free from the Sacred Realm.

Even though you fucking meet Ganondorf himself with enough shown to know it's fucking him after the tower, which is before the first fucking dungeon.

At no point does anyone who knows who Ganondorf is ever get the idea that Ganondorf is not in the game. And then you have multiple encounters with him. Some even before the halfway point. How the fuck is it a spoiler that Ganondorf is in Wind Waker?!
