It really is like playing an episode of the show. Obsidian did a great job of making this game as outrageous as possible, and it's awesome. (Canada is a 2D Zelda game!) 2. Some of the in game mechanics, not battle, are cumbersome. All of the farting training sessions are a nightmare, and barely work, and it's a miracle that I was able to finish them to continue the game. Furthermore, some of the puzzles are more difficult to figure out than they should be because the foreground and background are cluttered. Nothing game breaking, just annoying. Overall, it's an Obsidian game. Very well written, but the mechanics hold it back from being great. It's the story of their whole existence as a game developer. However, I've also seen both accounts post in topics where the context had them addressing the original point in detail like they were separate people. Who is actually who? And why are both kinda sketchy about saying who they actually are? Is one of them somebody I have ignored/blocked? In other news, I was watching either AEW Elevate (or Dark?) last week and it looks like Leva "Blue Pants" Bates has put on some weight? She was tagging with Madi, and when I saw her I just kinda recognized her and then I put it together when I heard the name. Honestly, AEW seems like the perfect promotion for her, although I guess she's still a job gal here, too. Speaking of perfect promotions, I'm more than a little disappointed that Maki Itoh already returned to Japan. She also oddly seemed a decent fit for the AEW roster, considering how green and/or sloppy a lot of the active roster looks. Granted, I imagine she'd probably wear thin pretty quickly considering that her gimmick was a little shallow and she can't really cut a promo because her English is still very limited. Hopefully her wrestling and English improve by the time they bring her back. Speaking of mixed feelings, last night I was thinking about the fact that I never got back to watching Black Lightning. I had started season 2 but just dropped off early. (I think I started s2. I more remember s1's finale pretty well, but not much about s2.) Granted, it also came to mind because a few weeks back I saw an Into the Dark episode where Tobias Whale's actor played a supporting character. So-so, kinda shitty ItD episode, but most of them kinda are so-so and shitty. The only one I really loved was the Christmas episode where the boss wants his employees to fight over a promotion. Granted, the original was produced by a Japanese studio so having him job made sense, whereas the US studio doesn't necessarily have to do that. The one major exception was Skyrim, since I bought the vanilla for the 360 for $6 then bought the Legendary for the ps3 for like $30 and got the ES box set for... I can't remember. But that's why I have the vanilla versions for Uncharted 1 & 3, then the GOTY for Uncharted 2. It was also why I was debating holding off on Pokemon SwSh, but I finally figured if they do release a GOTY I'll get that for my second version. Once again, I lament the day CT's voters were stupid enough to put that jackass Lamont into office. Otherwise I guess WM was over the weekend and it had a few title changes, including a few overdue ones... although that includes a lot of newer talent I haven't followed closely. I've barely seen Rhea Ripley wrestle, but she seems talented even if her look is kinda indie. Bianca Belair I've seen a little of, and she seems gimmick-y but otherwise is alright. ~~The Reigns triple threat sounded great, and the ending sounded like something I'd probably want to watch at some point.~~ On the AEW side, I've seen a few TH2 matches (singles and tag) on Dark & Elevate, including the one against Bear Country. Kinda liking the goofy gimmick and theme. Some of their stunts look pretty cool while still being credible (even if it's arguably too much of a flourish when they could have gone practical). The much happier news -- and something I wish I knew about sooner -- is that somebody managed to make a minotaur gimmick kinda work in wrestling (so you can go to hell, Mantaur! I first saw a clip of the guy doing a badass power move where he slams somebody from a turnbuckle onto a rope, but unfortunately the guy doesn't seem to work that much of a big man style which is what I'd rather see with a minotaur gimmick (although he does at least some big man shit, with occasional no-selling and exaggerated power moves) In some ways it's the best of both worlds in that I like the look and, at the same time, it doesn't come off overly goofy in context because most luchadores wear masks and some exaggerated outfits.
