meh, if you want to think so.

Musicians back in the day were generally WAY more talented (I'm not talking about pop artists who were about the same)

If you enjoy those artists, there are plenty of talented artists to find today.

You must be living under a rock if you think there aren't modern artists just as, if not more, talented than those you listed

I got to see Mount Eerie open for Big Thief towards the end of 2019 and he ended up playing a couple Microphones songs as well. It was an amazing show all around.

that sounds like a great show. I don't think he was the opener for the Big Thief show that was here around that time, was someone I didn't know. Almost went but think I did something else that night, but with songs and instrumentals being my favorite Big Thief/Lenker album yet, I am much more fond of them now than I was then (not to say I wasn't a fan).

Last concert I saw before all the venues closed down was Yves Tumor with Ecco2k opening. Was an amazing show. I think it was their last show before they cancelled their tour too because it was right in the middle of March. I think the next day California started closing down and everything else was to follow.

I'm not a fan of the weeknd, and Cudi can be so great but he has big misses. Unfortunately motm3 was a miss for me.

Unless its Metallica, Pantera or RATM, there are few entire-albums that I like. So with that said, I dont really get the option to enjoy many new albums. I did like a number of songs that came out last year.

Hell yeah dude. Petals for Armor was released as a series of EPs before it was collected as an album, so I was hesitant about whether it "counted" as one project but it's such a chill piece that I enjoyed this year.
