Drawbacks: A handful of people might get pissy and whine about SJW's for a week or two before they moved on to whatever new grievous "attack" on their safe space they can overreact to. So... I guess? "There are no Girls on the Internet". And what's more impressive is how over time the philosophy expanded to the idea that on any anonymous message board, GENDER DOESN'T MATTER.... because proving if you are a girl, or a man, or Trans, or black or white, doesn't hold any power over any other gender or race. Anyone trying otherwise is either sitting polar opposite from either being a race-supremacist, or some kind of Marxist who puts feelings before the facts. "Demanding pronouns usage" on an anonymous message board site is a ridiculous notion. Because it'll cease being 'anonymous', you'll basically enter into a conversation with your declaration of pronouns on your ID; and people will stop taking you seriously the moment post anything. No, not because of "hate speech", because you wear your politics on your sleeve, while being entitled to have all conversations swing your way because you would rail your preferences against the logic and facts that forbid to gain the upper hand in an argument. ...not to mention biased or corrupt moderation on politically sensitive topics, where even the mods don't know the different between facts and feelings. This concept is similar to how I was explaining the early rules of the internet, where girls believed their wiles could influence conversations, by advertising their gender and sexuality. Today, as all things change apparently, by demanding pronouns on anonymous boards the rule should be edited for 'inclusion' and preserved. --- PSA: "Real Gamers" don't pay for Micro-transactions.
