I had just started to convince myself not to spill my pity timer on Albedo, because hey, having a cryo DPS for a melt comp would be cool, and then...

A) I realized Kaeya's probably better suited to that rule than Ganyu, even if I lack Chongyun
B) I don't have anyone that uses Albedo's weekly talent material since I passed on Zhongli
C) I'm at Fischl C4, and I could buy one in the shop if I manage to pull another

Ugh...I have 5 fates and enough gems for a 10-pull. That would get me from 75 to 90. I wonder how likely I am to actually get Fischl C5, though...

The problem I have is I have Diluc, Jean, Bennett, Mona and Razor all in need of books of Resistance. I have enough weekly mats for them but no books.

In a way, that's kind of sort of good. It means you can devote 2 specific days to talent book farming and use the rest of the week for whatever. Unless you also need weapon mats on those days.

But Diluc, Jean, and Bennett all require plumes. Seems like you might have some competition there unless it's just understood who's getting the talent-ups.

It's silly that they aren't all on the featured banner at normal rates when they are going who knows how long before reappearing. Venti hasn't been on a banner since I started playing.

Sounds extremely unlikely.

I'd kinda like Hu Tao, from what we know of her, but I super don't need more pyro characters. I don't have a lot of rolls anyway. Definitely not interested in Ganyu or Xiao.

On one hand, adding them to the banner would at least make them accessible. On the other, it doesn't make them very accessible, and it also makes it that much less likely you get Jean, Mona, Diluc, Qiqi or Keqing.

But I certainly wouldn't expect them to add the featured 5-star characters. There's a reason why it's called the "limited" banner. Their whole business model thrives on FOMO.

The rumor that I heard, originally, was that they'd run two banners concurrently with 1.3, both Xiao and Zhongli, and that they'd work off the same pity timer. Now people are murmuring about the return of a Venti banner, but I suspect that's just optimistic wishmongering. Due to the changes, though, I could absolutely see them bringing back Zhongli in some capacity.

I've def spread myself too thin WRT EXP books, but also a good chunk of laziness in farming the flowers and random mob drops. I've got everyone else in my main team at 60, and I've got the boss mats to ascend them, but not the other shit.

For context: here's my current setup, so I lied, Bennett is only at 50. I don't have any of the first boss drop for ascending Xinyan yet, got enough of the 2nd(won't if I ascend Bennett tho)

Finally feel pretty good about my Diluc's damage output. This is with 2x Crimson Witch 2x Gladiator though so still some room for improvement. I really need a Pyro Crimson Witch Cup since his headpiece is an off-set CRIT DMG piece, and those are rare af.

I have 4 CRIT DMG headpieces and 1 CRIT Rate headpiece (5*s). Thought I'd have more by now.

Don't pick the blackcliff for its effect text. Ganyu's damage is very backloaded. As a DPS, she's the opposite of an ultbot, where she has to land a couple charged shots to power up the ones that follow. I definitely wouldn't count on her landing killshots to trigger the effect. If you like it purely for the crit damage, and you don't mind spending the starglitter, go ahead.

If it weren't already taken, I might consider how Viridescent Hunt would fit on Ganyu. I don't have an alternative to give to Childe, though. Plus, crit rate might run afoul of the Blizzard Strayer set bonus with cryo resonance.

Stringless is good for support, but again, mine is taken. This time, by Fischl.

Not in love with any of the other 4-star options, though. Alley Hunter, maybe, if you're running her with Diona for the shield. (How do you get the Alley Hunter?) WTB Amos Bow?

I wouldn't call it an exploit, but if there's a lightning storm, the area where lightning will strike usually glows blue right before. I got the achievement for it very quickly knowing that.

That's not the exploit. The exploit is, during a storm, you bring up your menu and minimize the game for an hour. When you come back, you're supposed to get struck by a billion lightning bolts all at once because the game keeps computing lightning strikes so long as the storm is going.

Alright, new Abyss 12-3 cleared. So yeah, much harder to die this time around, but the dps required is still pretty brutal.

For 11-2, I ended up using Dilic/Jean/Diona/Anemo MC for first half. Anemo MC's crowd control is pretty good and got 3 stars. But only squeaked 1 star in 11-3 because it made my dps too low. Second half was Razor/Qiqi/Fischl/Sucrose and they were fine.

Which characters were you thinking of? We know Ganyu is next, and Xiao and Hu Tao will be in 1.3, but I think everything else is up in the air.

Considering I had electro and pyro characters and I'm now trying to fill in the rest of the wheel, I find it pretty convenient. I can farm for two characters at the same time that are sharing related purposes. Probably not nearly as strong an option without Childe, though.

My water types are Barbara and Xingqiu. I have some at least, but I have run the domain probably 20 times now and still dont have an ice artifact for the 2 of the 5 artifact categories.

Also do artifacts with only 3 substats gain a 4th? Sometimes I get 5* ones with 4 and sometimes ones with 3 and I dunno if the ones with 3 are worth touching

If it starts with 3, it will gain a 4th at level 4. Though, does that mean it has one fewer stat upgrade? If so I feel even more justified in not worrying about substat upgrades.

All artifacts fill the four slots before improving on any of them. And yes, that means it has one fewer stat upgrade. Only 20% of artifacts have the extra roll -- 3 for a 4-star or 4 for a 5-star.

Makes me feel like all my ice artifacts so far are worthless then since they only had 3 stats and missing out on an upgrade sounds kinda sad
