Oh, I dipped into my wallet for the battle pass today. Total spending on the game has now reached $50, which feels like a lot to me, despite the fact that some people are dropping $100 at a go for primogems. I honestly can't remember the last time I spent $50 on a game...I mean, I guess technically I was subscribed to WoW for classic for 4 months, so that counts, but before that I think the last time might actually be Skyrim on release day.

Anyway, that got me enough wishes and primos for another 10-pull. I did one yesterday, one today, which brings my pity timer to 49. The likelihood I hit soft pity before the end of Ganyu's banner isn't very good. With the current event (360) and two floors of Abyss (300), I should be able to get 10 more after a week. Beyond that, I think I'm stuck unless I want to spend more.

But it also means it's Battle Pass weapon sweepstakes time again! I honestly don't have a clue here. My only spear user is Xiangling. My only claymore user is Diluc. I don't use any catalyst users besides Barbara, who doesn't count. (And I have Sucrose to 60, but she doesn't count, either.) I have a Black Sword on Keqing. I have Viridescent Hunt on Childe. I don't have immediate-and-obvious use for a duplicate of either, but I can certainly see merit in having a second Black Sword, and despite my exchange with DC last night, I might want a VH if I do miraculously land Ganyu. But chances are, I guess I'm probably looking to refine a weapon? Any other decent options?

I really want to see what my general banner 5* is gonna be, but I dont really have many acquaint fate left to get unless I increase my world level. I dont really feel like wasting primos on them

I will be going for R5 Black Sword before moving onto either the BP Claymore or Catalyst simply because I lack those options.

Did the battle pass and got the bow for Tartaglia and upgraded it to 80. What the fuck. This is such a ridiculous difference in damage (was using Prototype Crescent). Like I knew he was crit dependent but even so this is just silly.

I guess now time to try find him Crit Damage artifacts

EDIT: Just cleared the time trial outside domain of guyun purely with Bennett triangle > melee to death with Tartaglia. Previously I wasn't even close to killing it and that was at the lower world level

Cleared the first 8 chambers of spiral abyss. Really wasn't too bad. 8/9 and 7/9 stars so still 200 primos left to get when I can be bothered to get them

It took me until 8-3 to realize you can quit out and restart from where you are if you mess up (my carry died by me being gungho). That would have been useful to know a long time ago!

Up to 46 on pity timer. Noelle now C3 after so got her on back to back pulls. I can probably hit soft pity but not hard pity. Probably not worth it though as it would involve me cashing in the tokens you can trade for 4* heroes for summons. With dailies, Welkin and the month ticking over before banner disappears I can probably get to 65-70 ish summons

Ugh I'm at ~70 pulls since my last 5* and I can't decide what I want to do.

On one hand, Ganyu+Fischl+Bennett backing up my Xinyan seems really fun, with the knocking phys def off of ice+electro.

On the other hand, Hu Tao seems actually aimed at being a main DPS, and I like the idea of a berserker, stronger on low health playstyle, esp since I have Zhongli to back her up with massive shields, so low HP is NBD.

Xiao doesn't interest me at all, outside of wishing for a non-MC Ameno char lol.

The only thing interesting to me about Xiao is that he's the first anemo character whose big thing isn't just controlling the field. It's what Venti does. It's what Sucrose does. It's what MC and Jean can do. And I bet he's fun to play. But damn if his design doesn't even remotely interest me.

I know precious little about Hu Tao other than she's pyro. I don't follow leaks, and I'm not drawn to her. She might be great, but I'll decide that later...assuming I actually think I need another pyro character after Diluc and Xiangling and Bennett.

Wish I could just take out a loan against future primos. I want Ganyu, but it's possible I might be holding onto my gems for quite a while after that.

Im more interested in Hu Tao the more I think about it. Ive seen some vids of Xiao and while I think he looks badass with that demon mask his playstyle might get stale fast with the dragoon leap attack over and over.

Hit BP50. My fate got me junk 3* though. That puts me at 78 so if that 5* wants to drop soon instead of at 90 that would be nice >_>

So I put in a few resources leveling up Sucrose to get an Acquaint Fate. Got my 5*. It was Jean!

Now that my reputation is maxed out and while my BP is too I'm very apathetic about doing bounties and requests. I guess it's free cash, but it's not that much.

I did a couple more singles on Ganyu too so now I have C2 Noelle, C3 Xiangling and C2 Xingqiu. Time to actually save for Rosaria

4140 points for Geo. That was fairly rough, although making sure to also use stamina food helped mitigate the increased sprint cost. Getting past the second phase was hard to do cleanly.

Mine wasted 30s floating in the air doing nothing and I timed out. Also what the hell Noelles Ult does literally 0 damage to it even though her Ult is great at destroying the normal fight. Shes my only bonus hero who is combat ready too. These are all tough

I have never been a fan of the geo cube fight. This one's actually in some ways a little better, but it's still the geo cube fight. Bring a claymore of pay the consequences. (And even claymores take a bit to chop down the pillars.)

Haven't logged in yet today but my highest level claymore user is 20 I think. So unless I can cheese it with a bow user then today is going to be miserable

Noelle is good for destroying pillars at least. I just dont do enough damage to tick all these boxes so 2k~ is the best I can sadly do lol

Zhongli makes Geo Boss easy lol, his hold burst destroys the pillars...

Tho I'm still not actualy bothering trying with the higher levels, just a basic clear gives you the primogens and that's all I care about.

Much better then yesterday, but I've actually grinded this cube for to get Ningguang to max ascension. Hit 3K opting for 2 minute time limit rather than increasing the cube's hp and dealing with the shockwaves.

Ok I've only ever done Geo Hypostasis once before and I remember the pillars dying a lot easier. I'm clearly missing something.

How the hell do you destroy a pillar before they all do the AoE attack? Because wailing on it with a Greatsword user doesn't come close to killing it before that attack and I can't see how to dodge that attack with all 4 pillars up. So I'm obviously missing something

Noelle go brrrr on pillars has been my solution since she also has a shield

Yeah all my Greatsword users are level 20 so that's not really an option. It wasn't an issue when I did normal Geo cube

Damage wise from the enemy you probably will struggle to survive with them, but a claymore user even at like lv1 will do more damage to pillars than a max lv non-claymore character from what Ive heard.

Yeah, my Greatsword users damage the pillars but they don't destroy one before they all do their AoE radius spam and I have no idea how you dodge that attack with all the pillars up.

I ate the Adeptus meal and cryo boost vial thing.

-Shoot crystal with ganyu
-everyone else attack pillar til cube is vulnerable

We were able to one-bang it that way and finished with 3750. I wasnt the host so not sure what was selected in the menu but if you need help, lmk.

There should be a yellow construct beside the pillar where the cube is hovering. Destroying it puts up a dome shield that blocks out the pillars' resonance and allows you to attack the pillar for free

Geo beated with 3150. Razor/Xinyan/Fischl/Qiqi. Didn't have much experience with this boss. I just focused on the pillar that had the boss because trying to destroy pillars "in advance" turned out to be a bad idea. For the shockwave, destroy the construct that generates a shield asap. Razor in burst mode was able to destroy the final pillars in one cycle.

Think I'm going to have to give up and use a guide and/or those oculus finders. Have 4 Anemo and 8 Geo (including the extra 1) to find but after hours of running around the map (more so on the Geo than Anemo) both last night and tonight I don't think I can find anymore just from map sparkles

Ive been doing resin refills, up to 3 a day.
