Reading what Jon Huber's wife said on the podcast, that is just heartbreaking to read.

It's also terrifying from a personal standpoint as I had double lung surgery like 13 years ago. I kept getting pneumothoraxes and like an idiot I kept ignoring them for months on end. I was playing sports and just carrying on as normal whilst walking around with collapsed lungs. After the third time it happened, they performed pleurodesis on both lungs. I was like 18-21 when it kept happening and thought I was invincible but reading that, it's very clear that it could have easily resulted in my death.

SD Main Event of Styles vs Bryan ends in DQ when Big E, Shinsuke, Cesaro, and Zayn interfere.

Then the 6-man tag match of Bryan, Big E, and Nakamura vs Cesaro, Zayn, and Styles ends in DQ when Miz and Morrison interfere.

Then a 9 man tag match starts with Miz and Morrison joining the heels and Otis joining the faces. Sheamus runs in midway to make it an even 5 on 5 and gets the win for the face team.

SmackDown ends with Strowman returning and cleaning house.

Miz claimed he was there because he hinted the idea of cashing in on Reigns or Owens after the last man standing match, and I guess Morrison follows Miz everywhere.

Strowman and Sheamus are there because fuck logic.

Also Sonya Deville is back as a semi-authority figure, stating Pearce is not available after his abuse of power.

Tag team shenanigans aside, SD really only had 3 matches, the other 2 being Bianca vs Bayley and Dominick vs Corbin Part 26

I was bored during work and decided to actually watch Royal Rumble through less-than-legal means. I got to the end of the women's rumble, but my thoughts.

• Who can honestly care about Drew McIntyre? The match with Goldberg was the corniest and I'm astonished it was as underwhelming as it was. The same "wow you beat me you're a worthy champ" like bruh he just tanked a bunch of spears who gives a shit. I was hoping they could have worked out anything interesting in the match but it was just a complete dud.
• Sasha Banks vs. Carmella was as good as it could be with Carmella. Her character work is just... pretty mediocre. Is this character over at all with people? I can't imagine being a fan of it. The ending felt a little lackluster to me, but the rest was really good.

Women's Rumble thoughts

• Billie Kaye is still the most entertaining thing they have. She needs to absolutely be featured constantly.
• Victoria still got it. Happy for it.
• I don't know why, but all the NXT women except Rhea Ripley felt completely underwhelming. Like they were just warm bodies.
• This match was extremely well put together and whoever helped with it should be credited because I hear the men's rumble wasn't nearly as interesting or good.
• Rhea Ripley's transformation is kind of wild.
• lol Alexa Bliss was there supposed to be some kind of stupid gimmick she has where she becomes a monster girl or something?
• The 24/7 title is still just... embarrassing. I refuse to believe there's a person on this planet that thinks it's funny or good.
• I'm glad Bayley seems like she's having a lot more fun now as a heel after they ruined her babyface run. She knows how to be entertaining.
• What is this Lacey Evans teaming up with Ric Flair thing? I can't believe they're still running her as a heel. Give the freaking mom and army vet a face run, wow. She's hilarious too. Just let her be a face.
• Nikki Cross seems like she's doing the best she can with no character now? She's always been talented enough to find a way.
• Naomi landing on her back but her feet not touching is so stupid. Like I'm willing to accept the other absurd stuff at this point but this is just ridiculous.
• Speaking of stupid things, I just want an end to people beating up other people who are still in the match on the outside (which didn't happen here much) but more importantly people who just enter the match again to beat up people. Stop it. Nia and Baszler just beat up everyone awkwardly and then decide to leave the ring again... why?
• Natalya deserves more.
• Bianca winning was the best call. Looking forward to hearing about how they completely screw her up.

I'll probably watch the rest tomorrow if I'm bored. But overall, it was entertaining and the women's rumble was quality stuff.

That's been most of Goldberg's matches since he returned in 2016. Only one match of his has gone over 5 minutes, his disaster with the Undertaker.

The matches of his I did see, they seemed more inspired than this one. It was just two people throwing strike finishers at each other at a molasses pace until one gets pinned. That said, I haven't seen a Goldberg match in a while.

205 Live ceased being main roster when they moved the title to NXT
