I was already going to wait to buy either an Xbox Series X or PS5, but I'm not sure I'm going to get one at all now. There's nothing on either system that makes me want to buy one. I'm also losing interest in playing most video games.

This is kind of how I am. I barely use my Xbox right now, and when I do it's more for media stuff and not gaming. Plus what games I DO play tend to be more PC games now that aren't suited for consoles anyway.

people are dumb. i went to a walmart yesterday and saw like 20+ people kind of just hovering in the electronics section. apparently walmarts all over the place had gotten shipments. they got a clueless employee to scan a barcode and confirm that they had stock but the manager and other employees were saying they didn't. so all the dudes who went there for one just stayed there...for some reason. dude who told me about it had been waiting two hours and that a lot of people were there before him.

I've had a PS5 since release and I barely play it

I don't really understand why someone would be willing to pay more than retail price for it right now when there's no games out

Yeah, it's pretty embarrassing. And last gen games always go on sale when the new console comes out so I have lots to keep me busy for the next year... and by then they'll have announced a new slim version or something. Never a good reason to buy a new console at launch.
