Actually they said that patch isn't for launch. It's for around launch. Imagine it might have something to do with the multiplayer.

It definitely has nothing to do with multiplayer, considering that's been delayed til after expansions are released.

Not saying that isn't large but the game went gold a while back and they've been crunching to iron everything out so I can imagine a patch being beefy.

That seems a bit petty.

Not really an issue. Games released back in the day had no chance of being fixed after going gold so if they were broken, and a lot of them were, it stayed broken.

With the ubiquitous nature of the internet, developers now factor in post gold development time knowing that a day 1 patch is a viable tool.

Gamers convince themselves that its very big brained to criticize patched but fact is quality control has never been better in gaming.

The game was delayed this long because of console versions, PC should have had it a month ago

it's an bad impression. a game with a massive launch update is probably a very rushed and unpolished game

A LOT. You do realize that some people live in rural communities, right? In parts of Canada all you can get is satellite (very expensive) or dial up. Same goes for the US. People living in rural communities might like to game as well.

Sure. But how have those people managed with literally any other game that has come out since the 360 at this point? Or gaming on PC? Can they even get this game if they're on PC with no internet?

Agreed. With how complex games are these days, it's near impossible to get things right at launch.

It's either this or it stays broken.

or have the games delayed for longer

gamers are awful people who have no real world experience, wanting brand new games for $49 to be released in 2 years time with the best graphics and gameplay and all updates and new content to be free too

Day one patch doesn't necessarily mean bug free. Fallout 76 had a huge day one patch, and we all know how that turned out

Oh for sure. But it having a large day one patch also doesn't mean its riddled with bugs either. Knowing CDPR and their track record it most likely does have a lot of bugs tho but I doubt its unplayable nor do i think a day one patch is a huge deal especially with where we're at with video games.
