Google Voice just captured what has to be one of the dumbest phishing attempts I've ever heard. Not only did the computer generated voice start before the VM began recording, and not only was it full of disjointed grammar, but it accidentally played two different scams in the same message.

(Google's transcription can sometimes be a bit off but this time it's actually 100% accurate, save for the punctuation.)

What obvious and stupid scam attempts have you seen?

of those two, only stolen valor can be considered a scam

and even then, it's not a scam in the conventional sense

People fall for some really dumb stuff. The ones that get me are the people who get threatened by the 'IRS' and then have to pay them back with wal mart gift cards. Like.... you got the call, drove to wal mart, stood in line, made the purchase, drove home, and called the fraudsters back.... without once thinking 'hey this sounds stupid'.

People call into the bank I work at wanting to dispute these charges too and it's like 'did you drive to wal mart and purchase these gift cards? Yes? Ok you're ****ed'

I was about to mention Kitboga. I found out about his channel about a month ago and he is hilarious.

I've been getting similar things you did TC. A bunch of crap about "my social security number being flagged" and numerous other robocalls. Safe to say that phone number of mine is screwed.
