I was hoping to go to the one in Orlando Summer of next year, but all construction has been halted on it so who knows when now.

It's built and the park has been open for a while now.
What are they supposed to do, not state that it's opening?

Not thinking about opening it until we're sure this pandemic thing is over and done with would be a good start

But it's built and the place has been open since June.

Should they let a completely built and functional area stay closed while the rest of the park goes on like normal?

It's in Japan right? They've got this thing much more on lock than the US and other countries. I think it's fine if they open with limited numbers of attendees

People thinking this is tone def don't realize how much more behind most of the world America is on Covid.

That said this would be reliant on them not allowing tourists.

Japan hasn't been allowing tourists since like February. For a long time, foreign residents weren't even allowed back in if they left the country.

As for the park, it's been open for awhile. They require masks and do temperature checks at the gate, and they social distance the lines. Idk how well it's enforced though.

I also was about to mention that Japan is handling this shit way better than us. I mean, it still doesn't mean full ass freedom, but no doubt they'll have precautions set into play when it does open up

Good news is work continues on Super Nintendo Land here in California.

Bad news is work on the superior version in Orlando is on indefinite hold.

As someone's who been in Florida, California, and Michigan in the past month, I can safely say that Florida is better for all theme parks.

So much better lol. Universal Hollywood is so disappointing. Unless you get joy walking up and down an exceedingly long series of stairs.

Not even joking those stairs were my favorite part of my last visit.

I didn't get to make it to this one on my visit damn.

We'd gone for my cousins birthday this January, first time I'd been to Universal here in like 20 some years. But the ticket deal we all had passes so i figured I'd go back at some point for anything I'd missed.

That hasn't worked out so far obviously.

I actually like going up and down the stairs. Get good exercise.

Animal Actors sucks these days. They can no longer use exotic animals or something so it's all just dogs and cats running through lame obstacle courses. No where near as fun as it used to be. The only highlight from the last time I went was when they grabbed a birthday boy from the audience to bend over so a dog could jump over him and he got peed on instead.

Yo pro tip for anyone going to Universal Studios Orlando when Florida isn't a hell hole, get the pass that lets you hit up each park in a day. Stay at Cabana Bay.

In the mornings, wake up at a decent hour and then walk over to Volcano Bay, the water park, with your special pass that lets you there 2 hours before it officially opens, hang out there for like 2-3 hours before people even come into the water park and ride everything with little wait once or twice daily, then spend the rest of your day hitting up the other parks.

When you go to the parks, do Harry Potter early if you're going to do Harry Potter at all. During the day, you aren't getting on without a wait.

Download the app and walk to the rides with the least wait time. You can luck out and gets a 15 minute wait for like the Hulk Coaster or something. Even if you're going to a different park, it's still worth it.

And don't eat park food. It's all absolute dog shit that's over priced. Save it for City Walk food that's a bit pricier but actually quality or eat at the Cabana Bay resort for cheap but good meals. You won't regret it. The only exception is the one restaurant in the Lost Continent, it's actually pretty good and known for having good food.

This is my Universal Studios Orlando Ted Talk thank you for coming and enjoy post-pandemic amusement parks.

I lived in Florida for two years and the only time I went to Universal was for Halloween Horror Nights which was supposed to be a date but the girl blew it off so I just wandered around for like 3 hours. Then I went and watched Thor: Ragnarok which was a good time.
