You can skip to about 2;20 to see where it really gets bad. This happened four times in a row so I'm not sure if it's possible to avoid it. I cleared the stage on my regular playthrough without any issue, but when I went back to get the present (the last one I'm missing), this just constantly happens when I get over 12m

Now you might be wondering why I played it four times. After the first time, I thought it might just be a one time thing, so I tried again. On the second run, I got within 5cm of clearing the stage even while dealing with this, so I went for it again. The fourth time was just to get the recording.

If anyone happens to know what causes this I would love to know!

I also found out just recently that Beautiful Katamari cant play on an Xbox one. BOOO

Yeah, that's bad. A Royal Warp typically happens if your Katamari geometry is just awkward enough to wedge you into the ground, or between two objects close or something like that. You shouldn't be finding more than 1 per stage (if at all), and obviously not falling into one again after respawning from one. I know people who have played Reroll for hundreds of hours on PC and never encountered anything like this. My mind thinks that this must be a new issue in the PS4 port. It honestly looks like there's just a hole in the floor right under the spot where you respawn, which also implies several other spots as well, because it's too unlikely that you're naturally encountering warps on 4 different playthroughs with Katamaris of different shapes and sizes each time.

It seems like it has to to do with getting the present on that stage, since it didn't happen in my first playthrough when I didn't get the present, and on one run I tried without getting it. Getting the present requires climbing a very tall chimney because it disappears before your katamari is big enough to grab is normally. I wonder if that's messing something up

But some people have the trophy for getting all the presents, so idk

So I tried again, this time getting as big as possible before proceeding towards the 12m barrier, and it didn't happen! So yeah weird glitch, but the conditions seem to be: get the present, get to 12m, and proceed to the area behind the 12m barrier immediately

Have you had any other problems with your PS4 recently? I had an Xbox 360 on its last legs a long time ago and I was clipping through the ground in certain games which I attributed to that.
