Absolutely loved them. I grew up reading the books and watching the movies as they came out, but I've forgotten so much of what happened, so watching them all again was like experiencing it again for the first time.

*Spoilers for the whole series*

Philosopher's Stone was probably the best intro to a series as possible. The childhood wonder was well captured in that one.

Chamber of Secrets was a great sequel, but the movement of the gigantic basilisk through the pipes of the school was a bit hard to imagine. That part really had me hung up.

Prisoner of Azkaban was by far the worst movie in the entire series. The directing was miserable, it was like they had no focus at all. The characters also aged far too much between this and the last movie. They didn't look or act the age they were supposed to be. Plus, they were wearing hoodies and jeans nearly the entire movie. Really broke the illusion of a magical world.

Goblet of Fire was pretty great. My only complaint is that the Triwizard Tournament seemed like a total distraction from everything else the series had been building. It wasn't until the last 20 minutes that it felt like it really connected to the other movies.

Order of the Phoenix was way better than I remembered. I always hated this one, mostly because the book was incredibly boring. This was the first one I watched where I really felt that I had little memory of what had happened.

Half Blood Prince was also much better than I remembered. This was my favourite book in the series, and I remember being disappointed when I originally saw it in theaters. I wasn't disappointed this time around. The concept of Horcruxes was well established and tied together a lot of unanswered questions from throughout the series.

Deathly Hallows 1 was a very packed movie. I can see why they split this book into two movies. When it was over, I felt like I had just watched 3 movies. Nearly every death really affected me in this one, particularly Hedwig and Dobby.

Deathly Hallows 2 was a good ending to the series. It wasn't as interesting as Part 1, but was still a great movie.

I've been meaning to read through the series again. I'm pretty sure I can finish the first book in an afternoon
