I've known 3 people that got COVID. Loss of taste has been permanent for them.

One of them told me the only thing they can taste now is horseradish.

Good luck, a friend of mine got covid about 4 or 5 months ago. Only symptom she got was the smell and taste loss... she still doesn't have it back.

Oh wow, I had a surgery where I lost my sense of taste for around 6 months after, kinda anyways acidic stuff still had taste so I was eating a lot of hot wings and mt dew and destroyed my stomach. Was one of the lowest points in my life. I seriously wish you luck.

I thankfully didn't get actual loss of smell from covid but some stuff (mainly certain sugary things) tastes like fucking burnt rubber

We just don't know a lot about the virus. Some people said it took 8 months for taste to return and even then some things still are ruined and smell disgusting or taste way different (peanut butter, coffee seem to be a shared experience).

I'm thinking that the test result came up positive, judging by a quick Google search of the virus' symptoms, loss of taste and smell included among them. This is not to say that loss of taste and smell alone is enough to tell whether an individual has the virus or not. But seeing as your ex-boyfriend's brother exposed you to the virus, and seeing as you lost aforementioned senses soon after, it is possible that these two events are correlated. Hence, it is fair, I should think, to assume that you tested positive for coronavirus.

Whom she made a topic about like half a year ago about him running off to the bar to get his drink on the first night the bars re-opened with a packed not-socially-distanced crowd.
And continues to live with apparently, despite breaking up.
So she probably didn't contract it from being reckless herself. But really should've known better (hanging around her super-spreader ex).

Negative and you're just making yet another attention seeking topic. You've had two tests already that came back negative and you didn't believe those. Now you've done a third test and probably would keep getting them until you get a "fake positive" as you've convinced yourself you have it as soon as you got in contact with your ex who has been in contact with someone with it. That's assuming you've not already got a "fake positive". I think this way because almost any drama in the world you seem to be a "me too!" type of person.

This is all just a thought though. You've not elaborated much on it so that makes this topic even more pointless and I'm just shooting the breeze out of boredom.
