Burger King is definitely the worst run fast food chain I've seen. Very little to no quality control. It's actually kind of weird how big they are despite that.

Wendys is excellent as far as fast food goes

Wendy's where I live is absolutely disgusting. Their beef burgers always have an off taste to them, like they are using garbage beef and they aren't seasoning it properly. Meanwhile, I can sit down and enjoy a Whopper now and again.

That said, I do enjoy Wendy's Spicy Chicken burgers and their Frosties. It's just their beef burgers I have a problem with.

Overall though, I'd probably say KFC. They went from the king of chicken to just being mediocre. They took away the Crispy chicken here where I live, and they don't season their chicken properly anymore.

Wendy's seems to have the biggest range of quality between locations. Some are perfect for what they need to be while others are trash.

BK is alright. not as good as McDonald's or other places, but the whopper is a classic and some of their shakes are good.

my vote goes to arby's. I don't like roast beef and that is half of arby's menu. their curly fries are super overrated. I did like their pork belly sandwich though, but they discontinued it. Seems like Arby's likes to discontinue everything that I enjoy from there.

I lived in DC for a year and lived near a gawd-awful chain called Roy Rogers. They specialized in fried chicken and burgers, doing neither very well. IIRC a mouse fell into the fryer and may have gotten served (never could pin that fact down). People started calling them "Rat Rogers".

I dont think they are as financially stable now as they once were. They closed a location in my town and Ive heard that this has been a trend throughout the country. They also raise the prices every time I go through a shake is $4 and fries are about $3. Bacon and cheese is like +$2.50. They also have about two workers plus a manager every time I go there. Forcing one person to handle the window and the lobby and one person to frantically put the food together for minimum wage. McDondalds and Wendys have more people on the floor, which indicates that they have more money.

does roy rogers Even have stand-alone locations? only ones ive seen are at interstate rest stops

Whenever I leave a Carl's, I always feel like I could have done better choice wise. Never had anything particularly "bad" there, but I always feel that way when I leave.

I didnt know In N Out existed outside of California. In N Out for whatever reason has an insane following in Cali. The line is always absurdly long and its really not that good IMO.

This may be a bias, because I grew up 6 blocks from In-n-Out #3 in Pasadena, but the further you get from the "core" 5-7, the quality changes. Not necessarily worse, but different.

I went to the Sacramento, Inglewood and another one and it was vastly different. The burgers and sometimes fries were WAY overcooked.

At the Pasadena, Arcadia (#2 or #4) & Azusa (#5 or #6) In-n-Outs the burgers are cooked medium rare to medium. They're juicier and more flavorful. The Rialto In-n-Out does it that way too (don't know the #. There's probably well over 100 now - something Snyder, the founder never wanted but his granddaughter, the current owner apparently said "fuck it".)

EDIT: The Hollywood In-n-Out does it right too, but if I'm in Hollywood I'm going to FATBURGER.

I can only speak from my experience, but DQ has good fast food. That flamethrower burger is so fucking good.

I'm having some Long John Silver's for dinner so I know it's not that.

Wendys, bk, and KFC are shit too.

They used to be a lot better but were talking a decade or more back.

DQ is solid. They're burgers seem the most like regular ground beef youd buy in a store.

It's Krystal's. It's like White Castle which is already pretty low but worse and sounds like it's named after a stripper that will point out her C-section scar and then need to correct herself because it's actually from a stabbing incident.
