What an appropriate ending to 2020 Mafia!

While sending out the start of the day 2 messages, I was messaged by Han about a clarification question he had and the message I was trying to send out wouldn't send because it pushed my inbox past 500. I went to clear my inbox of messages and, in the time it was taking me to do that, forgot the message I was in the process of sending out didn't actually send. This was compounded by internet issues at my work (which is why the day went up late).

Several hours ago, I was growing curious why Hb hadn't claimed he was slept with yet and it suddenly dawned on me that my message to Hb hadn't actually send. So I PMed him to try and keep the game going and asked him not to reference it in any way and to just play as if I had told him at the time. I thought if he was just compromised that we could keep things going. And at the time it looked like Puns was going to be an easy lynch anyway

TURNS OUT NOT SO MUCH.

It is not Hb's fault, but him going "there were meta reasons for this I can't discuss" is adding in an element I do not like, and unfortunately I can't in good faith force you guys to see this through the end when things have been compromised by my mistake. I talked to the DVC and they seemed to think the best avenue was to just cancel the game, so that is sadly what I have to do.

Entirely my fault! Honest mistake and all of that but I don't want to force you guys through what is likely another week or two of mafia only for you to realize it doesn't technically count for a mistake made on day 2. So I will end it here and let the next game get set up while excitement is still high.

Sorry again everyone! I hope you guys had fun (while it lasted) and I'm sorry we got the abridged version of the game.

Then again, I feel like this is an oddly appropriate way to end 2020 after all. See you all around later! And, once again, FUCK 2020.

Current thoughts:

Hb is not claiming that dowolf slept with him. He is claiming he got slept with.

Dowolf scanning Hb is still very anti-information and nonsensical.

The message Hb got could very well be a "host will send a message of your choice to a player during the night" type role.

Why does Scum target Hb? If it's not an actual info-gather, it makes sense. But if it is a real prosty, then no, it makes no sense at all. Not that Town is much better, but makes slightly more sense.

Given the way Stan has acted, it's safe to say either Puns is what he is or he's taking a shot in the dark.

If we let Dowolf live, he claims RB and never gets another chance to prove himself. Which means he could very well be a one-shot, or Scumbuddies with Hb and this is a ploy they came up with really quickly to try to save Dowolf.

Red gave us poor last will.

For Dowolf to be Scum, either he and Hb are lying about something they can't keep up that falls apart quick, or Scum actually did sleep with Hb which is dumb. So we probably just go back to puns.

Unless anyone is down for a quick Plum train? Hmm?

15) The Coronavirus, INDEPENDENT Plague. (Bulletproof ninja serial killer. At least one other role exists in this game that gives people the coronavirus. Each night cycle, you may choose to kill someone infected with the coronavirus. Provide a list of three players, in order of priority, of who you would like to kill. The individual on your list with the highest priority will be your kill for that night. If no one on your list has the coronavirus, your highest priority target will become sick with it (but not die from this action). Your kill is unblockable, but if the person you target is cured over the night your kill will fail. You win when you have successfully killed three targets, including at least two from the TOWN faction and one from the 2020 faction. You will leave the game victorious at that point.)

16) Refusing to wear a mask and killing grandma to own the libs, INDEPENDENT Asymptomatic Carrier. (Each night, including night zero, you may visit two people. Those two will become infected with the coronavirus. For the rest of the game, every person they visit and every person that visits them will also catch the coronavirus. You will be given a list at the start of each day (starting day 2) of the players that remain uninfected. Be warned that some roles might exist that cure individuals of the coronavirus and others might have an immunity (either known or unknown) that heals them after a certain amount of time. Your actions resolve before any one else. As you are asymptomatic you will scan as TOWN Vanilla to any role scanners that might be out there. You scan as guilty for the purpose of cop scans and will appear to move to any movement scans. You win when everyone in the game becomes infected and will leave the game victorious at that point.)

17) Joe Biden, 2020 President Elect (Super Godfather Doublevote-enabler Scans innocent to cops and scans as TOWN Vanilla to any role scanners that might be out there. The four coronavirus roles got upgrades depending on how far it had spread.

Tange's list went from three errors each way (three people listed as infected that weren't and three people listed as healthy that weren't) to two to one to zero for example.
