It's based off of concord grapes which is what you'd use for jelly or something, not really to snack on. Also, the chemist that invented it like 100 years ago got the basis for it when he smelled a womans perfume that was from Germany that was supposed to be orange blossoms or something. But in Germany they didn't have concord grapes so no one thought that it smelled like grapes.
