Trump has been very effective at burying stories that would destroy any other president in history by simply moving on to the next horrible thing so theres no time to focus. Covid and the BLM protests have been a whole lot harder to sweep under the rug. Trump voters have decided long ago nothing will change their vote. Didn't vote vote in 2012 because I like Obama, but was pressured by my family, didn't vote in 2016 because I didn't like either candidate.
