We find out that the girlfriend was indeed part of the kidnapping

BIG SURPRISE

and the kidnappee starts blaming it on there. hes clearly in on it\

......and that gets established

we also find out that the Butler and the girlfriend are father and daughter

so heres what pissed me the hell off

Lang proposed they KNEW this prior to the kidnapping.

There was a testimony I had to examine from him and I had to prove they were indeed NOT in cahoots

This part took me legit 40 minutes

Someone in the streaming audience even started helping me with this

most of my evidence was relevant to the case in hand but didn't prove anything about their familial bond

the only things I Had were the pendants and the dossier that said he had a wife and daughter but never saw them

The pendants actually PROVED they were family since Her last name Initial matched his last name, and the fact that they were matching pendants (creating a Pegasus)

but the problem is Lang was talking about their hypothetical plotting so the pendants sort of didn't come into play.

FINALLY the dude in the audience just looked it up

.....so Lang at some point in the testimony or whatever says "The two of them blah blah blah "

You're supposed to show him the evidence of the Blue Badger suits that prove 3 costumes go missing

We were supposed to be proving they did NOT know they were family while planning and committing the crime

Yes, they were in cahoots obviously whether or not they were family or knew of it (which is what I said in the post)

I do not remember why Lang brought this up and why it was important to prove they didn't know of their relation, but the game's curveball answer was just that there was a third person. THAT SOMEHOW disproves they did not know they were family according to the game

It was such a weird angle to come from that I would've never saw it in a million years

They could very well HAVE known of their relation AND STILL have a third guy to work with

and Lang was completely speaking in hypotheticals (which pissed Edgeworth off because theres a lack of evidence and its all conjecture but Lang pointed out Edgeworth didn't have evidence either)

So I paid NO attention to the fact he said "Those two" in a random testimony. I would've never thought that number was the problem.

It felt like trying to win an internet argument by pointing out a Grammar error. Its just some semantic bullshit. I almost wonder why Lang wasn't like "Oh my bad, THOSE THREE then" and went on. I feel like Edgeworth seriously had nothing on his hand

But I don't recall bullshit like there was in AJ
So it's fine

But I believe other people remember DD better than me (I need to play it again someday...maybe before AA7 if it ever comes out)

I guess I didn't explain myself, I ended up buying a new desk and I took that opportunity to rearrange my game room. So my computer has been unplugged this entire time. The desk finally came and I built it but then my wireless router exploded so I've been without internet for the past few days. I am now waiting for a new router. So yeah it's one thing after another

I don't have unlimited data and I used up all of my data earlier in the week. I can still use the internet on my phone but it's slow as dial up now. It's the worst, I can't believe I used to live at like a caveman like this

we were doing our think until Agent Lang stopped us and pointed out everything we're doing es dum and pulled out a Brochure

Edgeworth's line of reasoning is that maybe the suit he saw laying on the ground was the murderer

but apparently theres an attraction where theres a disappearing Badger doll

Lang said it was just that.

Well fuck

BUT Apparently the doll "disappears" with a movable mirror wall.

My question is, Shouldn't have the plans to the building established this? I don't understand why this blew our minds.

So I got stuck here. Little Thief created a hologram of the Doll and I didn't know what to do with it

I actually thought you were supposed to present the brochure because I THOUGHT the picture in the brochure did not line up with the actual scenery of where the doll ACTUALLY is.

There was a window next to the doll, there wasn't one in the brochure

I assumed maybe the line of reasoning was that someone moved it there to cover their tracks or something

This was not it at ALL and not only that, The window IS in the brochure. It was hiding behind some text >___>

So IT TURNS OUT

I had to point out that the belt is reversed

This was a big leap of logic, at least I think so. Not as bad as the Family Member one from the last time I played, but still

I noticed the Belt was reversed
I found it weird
The belt goes from left should down to right IIRC on the actual Blue Badger. It was reversed for the doll. But the thing is, the doll is an entirely different entity from the costume. AND The brochure ACTUALLY had it like that too.

I just...didn't think anything was wrong. but that was the answer

I dunno man.

Anyways, I think this established that the mirror broke because the bullet hit it.

Lance is guilty, we sorta just, let the girlfriend run off

And I remember the belt part. It can be rather frustrating when the game just becomes a '7 differences' type kinda deal but yeah, it's something to get used to.

So this was a little loaded,t heres alot of stuff to remember

There was this case, the KG 8 incident

Some embassy dude was murdered. Then the person that was gonna bring the decisive evidence was murdered, and the guy that murdered her was let go due to a lack of evidence

Then it happened again

the second KH 8 incident
This guy killed someone but said he was Yatagarasu (I'm just gonna say Crow)
but then he SUDDENLY changed his mind and said hes not, but the Crow told him to, and started pointing to Farady, who was the prosecutor at the time.

So with this development they decided to switch him out with Edgey

but then they both wound up dead in the Lobby

Turns out, Gumshoe was guarding the lobby! He claims nobody got through

Franziska showed up..she must be like 12 here.

They made a game out of it.....when theres two murdered people in the room, one a father...

they established a third man was involved. Farady has the gun in the wrong hand as if it was planted

and then piled the bodies on top of each other

then Gumshoe is accused of being the murderer, the Judge testified that he was in the hall and saw no one, when Gumshoe was supposed to be in the hall guarding

so bam

bailing out Gumshoe

So it was the misadventures of Gumshoe

We established he was lying because he was trying to protect Kay, who was in the hallway at the time with him eating a snack

we DID establish he was there all along, despite what the judge said

but unfortunately it wasn't enough, the investigation continues

I thoroughly enjoyed Gumshoe's character here. As someone who is poor too, I was upset Gumshoe Spent 6 dollars on a snack, a dessert. 6 bucks could've bought so much food. Lots of Ramen, bread, cheap bologna, it would've lasted you a week

but...he did it because Kay was hungry. a little girl wanted food and he didn't hesitate to give her his money and split it with her

Gumshoe joined the force to do good, hes one of those cops that will get in a tree to get a cat down or help an old lady cross the street

This just proves what a swell guy is he is and I'm all for it

So we talk to Detective Bad and he gives us more back story about farady, Yew, and the crow (I'm not longer saying Yatagarasu)

we find out he was close to Farady and even Kay and how much regret he has he failed to protect the witness in the last case, Yew's sister

considering one of the victims in the last case is called

I thought they were just gonna roll with it and call the Murderer BAD.

BUT man, they made this guy sympathetic, I don't want him to be the murderer anymore lol

we go to look at the evidence in the last case and we find a picture of a key..but no knife we have been rolling this entire time that it was probably just evidence from the case, but here we are. No mention of any knives

here we go, another BS part

I DID think Maybe the knife is the key. I said it on stream. but it let me look at the picture of the key and I determined its too thin and theres oriental markings on it

the picture of the knife I have doesn't have the same designs NOR the same SHAPE

I concluded that they are not the same

....but Edgeworth was making his claims and wanted me to present something

.....they ARE the same

I presented the picture of the Key and THEN it let me inspect the knife

The knife, in 3D investigation mode, STILL DID NOT HAVE THE SAME MARKINGS AS THE FUCKING KEY

AND YES, THE THING FLIPPED INTO THE KEY

the ONLY saving grace from this crap is that there were no penalties for getting this wrong

Its like they drew the sprite portraits for the Key and the Knife and were like UH OH

WE FUCKED UP

EH, JUST ROLL WITH IT , NOBODY WILL NOTICE

we established that the rooms are soundproof, so much so that you apparently can't hear gunfire in them

thats...fucking hardcore

but apparently the windows were open and the killer used the footage from the previous murder to make a gunshot be heard

I had a really stupid moment its on me

there was a point where Edgeworth was like I KNOW WHO THE KILLER IS

and I figured it was the defense Lawyer, Calisto Yew

but I didn't find her

I was like...I guess I can't pick her?

So I actually tried a few other characters

but then it turns out she WAS there. I just thought it was her sister LOL

but anyways, she claimed to be the crow and PULLED OUT A GUN ON EDGEWORTH

and Bad was really far at the time

but Kay just killed at Edgeworth and snapped him out of it, and he jumped out of the way before he was shot

Yay Gumshoe is off the hook

and Yew is quite the villain

This game is like crack

it kills you

hurts you

destroys you

but when you FINALLY take a hit, DAT RUSH it gives you ALMOST makes it worth it

...almost
