In terms of just the 60s sitcoms, The Munsters was better.

The Munsters was a typical sitcom just dressed up with a monster theme. It lacked any subtlety at all. The Addams Family was just as silly as The Munsters but it was also more tongue in cheek. It wasn't just a basic sitcom with dressing. It actually embraced the theme of the show, fleshed it out, and felt different from other sitcoms of the era. I prefer the Addams Family and it isn't close. The movies are also good but I didn't take them into account for this comparison.
