That game fucking rules, man. Though, when I committed myself to beating it tonight, I didn't realize there would be 45 minutes of cutscenes and credits after the last fight.

That final boss is so hype.

I know that I'm in the minority, but I couldn't get into the game.

plus it really felt forced as a prequel outside of Kazuma and Nishiki's relationship, IMO.

*Y0 spoilers* so basically, this game we supposed to show the background between Kazuma and Majima, why Kazuma shows Majima so much respect and deference in later games, and why Majima is the way he is (wild personality)

but Kazuma and Majima only come across each other after the credits and somehow recognize each other, and that's it, and as far as Majima's personality goes, it's because he met this gangster he thinks is cool and tries to emulate him

i appreciate the game for what it is, but it ended up not resonating with me

It is very difficult to fully reconcile Y0 Majima with Y1 Majima. They didnt totally nail the character development there imo
