I dont understand, does the bug literally affect the thermostat or what? Seems crazy a specific mission could cause it to overhear and shut down? Unless the mission is incredibly long, Im confused about the timeframe?

Wasn't there a story recently where they said that the fan speeds would be adjusted programatically to account for parts of the game that cause heavy load?

Some asset/s in the mission are likely optimized horribly or bugged out and causing increased load on the hardware, is basically what it comes down to. An example would be a bug could be causing a particular element used somewhere in that mission to spawn infinitely.
